Little Whispers

Scooting closer to the bench next to me I watch as Henrietta looks at my bag and then back to me before carefully opening it. Looking in the bag her face brightens and she grabs Einstein.

Letting loose a worried cry I try to grab Einstein but she just pulls him away from me. 

"Hey there, its okay, is this guy your friend?" She asks.

I nod still focused on Einstein.

"Yeah, What's his name?" she asks extending him towards me.

Once he is safely in my arms I whisper out a tiny "Einstein"

"Wow that's a pretty cool name. What does he like to do?" She questions while focusing on me.

"Read." I whisper again looking over Einstein to make sure he wasn't hurt.

"Really? He must be pretty smart then. "

"Yeah that's why he's named Einstein silly." I say giggling a bit.

"Oh well excuse me for assuming." She says goofily.

I look at her again wondering if she would be mad if I crawled back up on the 'stretcher'. Deciding to chance it I hug Einstein to my chest and creep my way onto the bed thingy. Once I was up there I turned towards he and curled up a little bit tighter.

"Hello there." She whispers.

"Hi." I manage to squeak out.

"Can you tell me your name?"

"Promise not to tell anyone?" I say putting out my pinky.

"Promise," she says hooking her finger around mine.

I sit in silence until I manage a small "Alexis"

"Hey there Alexis, we are on our way to the doctor's office where my wife works. Is it okay if I leave you with her?" She says to me while slowly lifting her hand to my face to brush the hair from my face.

I nod looking at her with a cocked head. Of course she was married who wouldn't want her? She looked so perfect and she was so kind, she even put up with me for this long.  It may seem stupid but I was jealous of her wife and how happy Henrietta seemed when she mentioned her wife. I just wish someone would love me like that.

The truck pulled to a stop and Henrietta looked at me. 

"Well, this looks like our stop let me get you down out of here okay?" She asks while moving towards the doors opening them and pulling the bed down to the ground I look up at our surroundings and see a HUGE windowed building. Refocusing on Henrietta I see another beautiful woman standing next to her. No wonder they were so happy together they belong together.

"Alexis this is My wife Karen she's going to take care of you today." Henrietta introduces.

"Hi there sweetie, how about you come with me okay?" Karen says.

Nodding I stand up off the bed and walk towards her outstretched hand. Looking towards Henrietta waiting for her permission before loosely grabbing to Karen's hand.

"Alright we will get out of your hair then." Karen says to Henrietta before lightly tugging me towards the building.

Once inside I turn back towards the doors only to see that the truck is driving away. Looking back towards Karen I follow closely but not to close all the way to a small room.
