Bare-feet walk slowly through the halls, unaffected by the cold stone. The figure quietly hums to herself knowing that it was echoing to the Great Hall. Her dark purple velvet dress flows around her body, complimenting her pale skin. The enchantments of the old man wore off after a month of him being dead. 'Old fool thought he was infallible . Thought that binding a phoenix to himself would give him the perfect image. He was cursed within the year and it got worse with every decade. Now he is dead and I am free once again.'

The woman's flaming red hair swished back and forth at her back as she walked. A wicked smirk upon her cherry lips. Golden eyes shine as she continues her way to the Great Halls doors.

"I've got no strings,

To hold me down,

To make me fret, or make me frown,

I had strings,

But now I'm free,

There are no strings on me."

Everything went deadly silent when she started her ominous tune. When she reached the last line she was standing in front of the doors. Hogwarts opened them for its guardian, ready to start the purge of evil magic from its corridors.

Dumbledore destroyed the wards piece by piece since he became headmaster. He also bound the Hogwarts guardian in her weak moment after Grindelwald was defeated.

The guardian takes a quick cursory glance at the students around the Great Hall. There was nothing cheerful, no decorations aside from basics. There were a lot of students covered in cuts and bruises, all of them not being in Slytherin House.

She looks back up to the head table, "Am I late for the Samhain celebration, headmaster?" the guardian asked condescendingly.

"All students must wear their school robes at the Halloween Feast, failure to do results in disciplinary action. You will report to the dungeons after the feast to learn of your punishment Miss..." the ugly woman paused inquiring to her surname.

"Emrys. Gwendolyn Emrys, at your service," the guardian said, thoroughly enjoying the shocked faces that obviously came from the more educated in the Hall.

"There isn't an Emrys that goes to this school," the headmaster said, with an irritated lilt in his voice.

A smile grows on her face, "Right you are headmaster, your death eater friends aren't as smart as you though." She stalks up to the head table. Knowing Hogwarts has momentarily neutralized and silenced any hostile parties in attendance. "Now, you have a few choices here, a couple of them could ensure that you won't leave this hall alive. I'm sure you will make a well educated guess at which those will be. There is no in between here, do I make myself clear Severus Snape?"

"Crystal," Snape gritted out.

"Lovely, now your choices are either following your beloved and deranged half-blood dark lord, the old codger that imprisoned me for over half a century, or you stand back and let me fix everything that these two men have destroyed in less than a century." She lists off on her fingers.

Snape gave a side eye to his 'colleagues', understanding what he was hinting at she decided to reassure him.

"They didn't hear my options for you, nor will they hear your answer. I don't exploit others for my personal gain, I don't need anything from you or anyone else. I only seek harmony between all magical beings, if that means weeding out some rotted plants then so be it. Albus' downfall was believing himself to be the master of this chess game. He was so far down the rabbit hole that he forgot that I wasn't a bird and I could destroy everything he started and worked for, when he died. I was his darkest secret, he bound my phoenix form to his life in the 40's. Thinking that he would find a way to make sure my power was never known again. Then he died, I would thank you but we both know it was a mercy killing. I spent a fair few months getting used to my human body again and setting up my plans for fixing Albus' mistakes. I already ensured that Voldemort can't come back, without killing the boy or destroying my friends and husbands' precious artifacts."
