Chapter 12

"Okay. 3. 2. 1," I say then I hit play and the video starts.

The video begins with me walking to the piano and running my fingers over the keys. I then sit down and begin to play.

I'll tell the world, I'll sing a song
It's a better place since you came along
Since you came along
Your touch is sunlight through the trees
Your kisses are the ocean breeze
Everything's alright when you're with me

I look up at the camera and smile. Pictures of when I found out I was pregnant with Alaina appear in the background.

I look around the theater and I can see tears from some people.

And I hold my favorite thing
I hold the love that you bring
But it feels like I've opened my eyes again
And the colors are golden and bright again
There's a song in my heart, I feel like I belong
It's a better place since you came along
It's a better place since you came along

In the video, my smile grown. More photos appear of when Alaina was just born. Pictures of me holding her along with my family.

Then photos as she starts to grow up appear.

I see the whole world in your eyes
It's like I've known you all my life
We just feel so right
So I pour my heart into your hands
It's like you really understand
You love the way I am

I then get up from the piano, but of course the music keeps playing. I start to walk out of the room to an open field. During this scene, no one was with my besides my team and one special person.

And I hold my favorite thing
I hold the happiness you bring
But it feels like I've opened my eyes again
And the colors are golden and bright again
And the sun paints the skies and the wind sings our song

Once I am in the field, I smile and I crouch down. Then Alaina runs to me with a big smile and my smile grows as I take her into my arms and stand up.

Now I'm alright
Now I'm alright
Everything's alright

I then look at Alaina and place a hand on her cheek and sing to her. Alaina smiles at my words.

'Cause it feels like I've opened my eyes again
And the colors are golden and bright again
There's a song in my heart, I feel like I belong

Then at the end, Alaina places her head on my shoulder and I place a kiss on her head. The screen then goes black, but words appear on the screen.

My daughter made my world a better place.

Then the video ends. The lights in the theater turn back on and I look at everyone and chuckle when I see them crying. "Yay Momma!" Alaina shouts jumping up from her seat.

I let out a watery chuckle as she runs to me. "I love you, Princess," I tell my daughter as I hold her tightly.

"I love you too, Momma."

"I need tissues," Willow mom, Margaret, says as she walks out making everyone chuckle.

"That was beautiful sweetheart," my mom says as she and my dad walk up to me.

"Thank you, Mom," I tell her as I hug her.

Alaina then hold out her arms towards my mom. My mom takes her and then my dad pulls me into his embrace. "It truly was amazing," he tells me and I smile.

"Omg," I hear and my dad and I pull away to see Gigi fanning herself, "The waterworks won't stop."

Christen and Tobin then walk up to me. "I'm happy she was there when we weren't," Tobin tells me and I smile.

"Thank you," I tell them with a big smile as I pull them into a hug.

"Um, Rin," Willow says walking up to me making Tobin, Christen, and I pull away, "You might want to check your phone."

I look at her confused, but do what she told me to do. I look at my screen and see millions of notifications from fans and other celebrities. "Woah," I say as I look at all my social media along with articles and videos that have been released about my music video, "This is insane."

"We must celebrate! To the barbecue!" Henry announces loudly.

Everyone cheers and follows my brother to the backyard, but I stay where I am and Tobin and Christen do the same. "This is crazy," I say as I look up at them, "I did not expect this response from everyone."

"Never doubt yourself," Christen says wrapping her arm around my arm.

"Just enjoy it," Tobin tells me as she wraps her arm around my other one.

I look over at Tobin and my eyes connect with hers. I lean in and place a gentle kiss on Tobin's lips before pulling away. Tobin looks at me with shock making me chuckle.

I then turn to face Christen and kiss her as well and she has the same reaction.

"I think I'm ready to give you two a chance."
