"He Reminds me of Home" - Cedric Diggory x Reader

Y/N's POV:

When I woke up the next morning and got ready for the day. (Me knowing I have TONS of work to catch up on.) I didn't expect for practically the whole house to be waiting outside of my door when I opened it.

But surly enough they were.

I walked out ready to go to breakfast and was attacked with questions.

"How are you feeling now?"

"Do you feel like Mr. Diggory should go to Azkaban for his acts towards your mum?"

"How is your sister handling the situation?"

"Are you homeless now or do you have a place to stay?"

I never liked this kind of loud attention. I had tried to avoid everyone shouting and yelling. Suddenly everyone stopped yelling after a familiar voice yelled up.

"Oi can't you tell she doesn't wanna listen to you annoying gits" the voice behind me said.

I turned around and was greeted with a bone crushing hug from Aimee.

"You don't even go here yet and you can already scare off 7 years," I laughed as I hugged back as tight as I could.

"Wait? Why are you here?," I pulled away and asked.

"Welllll two Hufflepuff 2nd years might have convinced Dumbledore to let me come for the day." She replied with a smirk growing on her face.

"That's Amazing but I have class Today it's my first day back." I said upset that I couldn't spend the day with her.

"No today you get to spend the first half with me!!" She replied shaking my shoulders. "Buttttttt-" she added

"Oh no" I said trying to decide whether to be annoyed or excited.

"You have to spend the rest of your day with Cedric." She whispered.

"Why?" I asked back confused.

"So he can help you catch up on your work, Odviously." She said back sarcastically making me feel real stupid. "Now c'mon you have to show me all around. This place is huge!"

"H- How did you even get into the Hufflepuff Common room?" I asked confused.

"I have my ways...... and by my ways I mean Cedric let me in." She whispered back

"Okay well c'mon" I said grabbing her hand and leading her to the great hall.

I had totally forgotten about having to go down a flight of moving steps to get to the great hall. I took a wrong step and the thing started to move. I fell all the way down to the bottom and pulled Aimee down with me. Yeah it hurt but we were laughing too hard to the point to crying. When I finally opened my eyes I was greeted by a very worried and blurry looking Cedric and a red head I knew as Fred Weasley laughing at us.

"Well hello Cedric," I stood up as I helped Aimee up aswell in the process. "Weasley" I hissed narrowing my eyes at him. He threw his hands up in defence making me laugh.

"Cedric.... Fred this is Aimee Marquam," I said to them introducing her "Fred, Aimee's brother is the Gryffindor prefect and a Chaser on the Quidditch team."

"He wouldn't happen to be the one that shoved me off my broom at practice 'accidentally' would he?" Fred said, he sounded angry.

"Oh yeah he loves pushing people around," Aimee said sarcastically pushing me to the side.

"Oh yeah he broke my arm shoving me off one." I ticked in shrugging my shoulders.

Cedric and Fred's eyes got really wide and then we continued conversation.

"So where are you two heading?" Cedric asked us.

"To the great hall" we both replied at the same time.

"Ah okay then," Cedric said back "Y/N meet me in the common room at 4. Okay."

"Okay," I said back as we walked away.

"Byeeeee!" Aimee shouted in a childish manner.

We walked a bit nearing closer to the Great Hall.

Aimee leaned closer to me "He's Cute" she whispered into my ear.

"Who? Cedric?" I said a little too loud as Aimees hand met my mouth shushing me.

"Shut it not so loud." She said back.

"Then who?" I was clearly confused and not using any of my brain cells.

Aimee looked around seeing who was near and then whispered "the Weasley."

I gasped "he has a twin brother yano."

"Yeah I know he has like 5" she said back rolling her eyes and continued to walk towards the Great Hall.

How does she know this stuff?

We kept on walking to the Great Hall. Once we got there we got a bit of food and sat down. There wasn't much left because we came in so late.

"Aimee yeesh slow down we have time." I said looking over at my Best Friend shoving food into her mouth.

"Mkay sorry" she said through a mouthful.

"We should be lucky we have bacon still," I said surprised

"Why?" Aimee asked back in a confused manner.

"Cedric litterally hogs the bacon at breakfast he loves it, it's pretty funny when Cal tries to steal some off of his plate I've never seen someone get so mean." I said laughing near the end as Aimee joined in on my laughing. (A/N got that bacon idea from a shifting Tik Tok )

After we finished eating I showed her around the school. Where all of the classes were, the greenhouse, the Quidditch field, The Library and all around. Time went by really fast and before I knew it Aimee was using the Hufflepuff Common room floo network to get back home. I waved goodbye as she disappeared behind the normally Green flames but our floo network was enchanted for the flames to be yellow and black.

I sat on the couch for a bit, reading some herbology books when Cedric came in and sat down beside me.

"So you ready?" Cedric asked me referring to the work

"I think so, I just have to go upstairs to get my books." I said as I headed towards the steps running up them and into my dorm grabbing the Potions books, parchment, quills, herbology books, my wand, and everything else that might be needed then running back down the steps but not without tripping.

I stumbled into the common room. I put my stuff down on the wooden table then sat on the chair across from where Cedric was sitting.

"So what's first?" I asked him.
