She wholeheartedly believed he was going to say no, so all she would have to say is 'okay, cool, bye', but he actually said yes.
She blinked multiple times and took in a sharp breath as her cheeks flared, again.

Now, there were two awkward teenagers sat beside each other, both with red cheeks and no clue what to say next.
Honestly, it would make a cool album cover.

'So, I see you play volleyball. Um, me and my friend saw one of your posters'

He nodded quickly, but remained silent. She frowned slightly but nodded and sent him a small smile.

'That's cool. I've never been a massive sport fan, I prefer sitting home and reading, or watching movies,' she chuckled, and her voice no longer wavered as much as it did before.

'You a book fan as well? Or do you prefer the manga's you read?'

She looked at him with eyes full of interest, and he found himself staring back before coughing quietly and looking into the empty street again.
He nodded, and she expected that to be his only response before quietly speaking up.
'I prefer manga's, but sometimes I will read a fiction novel'

She smiled, firstly more in shock, but then wider in pure joy. His voice was so lovely to listen to. It wasn't rough, but it wasn't too soft either. It was deep and smooth.

She swung her legs back and forth as she sat there, trying to come up with a next question for him.
'What kind of music are you into?'

He paused, and she noticed that his fingers that were slowly tapping his thighs also ceased.
'Um, I don't really listen to much'

She hummed and nodded.
'I like music. Sometimes when I read I will listen to specific artists to make me feel more involved. I don't know if that makes sense,' she laughed and smiled and he found his lips turning up at the sound. 'Like, if I'm reading a sad book, like 'All The Bright Places' one of my favourites, I listen to the band 'Cigarettes After Sex' because it sets the mood'

He nodded in understanding, and he repeated the book and artist names multiple times in his head to make sure he remembered.

'Hey, if you'd like I could send you some of my playlists. You know just incase you wanted some music suggestions. Only if you want of course'

He nodded quicker than he wanted to and found his cheeks reddening again. She smiled at him as her heart was beating so fast she thought he might hear it.

'Well, thank you for speaking to me Aone. I should probably get going now, you still have your run and I should probably get some more sleep' She giggled and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear as she looked up at him again, to find him already looking.

She smiled and he slowly smiled back, nodding.

She stood up first, and he raised after.

'Bye, Aone'

'Goodbye, Leia'
