Will I Ever Be loved?

Chapter 20

As I walked in to school I noticed that Jaime was waiting for me at my locker but I decided that I would avoid her again. Luckily I did not need anything from my locker and if anything I could say- that I was going to bathroom and just go to my locker.  First period was the same as yesterday I went unnoticed just like I like it. That is until I walked into second period and freaken Howard had to open his big mouth.

“Ohhh my god Sam you look hot in that hair color!” he practically yelled out.

I went up to him and covered his mouth before he really brought any more attention to me. "Dammit Howard, can’t you just shut up for one day please” I told him practically begging and he nodded at me.

I sat in my seat while Howard decided to sit next to me. Just great I really hope he does stay quiet though. “Are you okay Sam? You seem a bit off and I swear I thought you weren’t at school yesterday or today.”

“I’m fine and yheah just trying to keep a low alibi that’s It.” I told him while looking at Mrs. Lane as she got the class ready for god knows what. The class was really boring though so I zoned out until the lunch bell rang. When that happened I was the first to run out the door and to my locker to leave my books before Jaime seen me.

As I walked to the lunch line my phone rang and I answered it seeing it was Jaime. I couldn’t avoid her forever and besides she did nothing wrong. I just hoped she wouldn’t tell Mike anything or Jeremy for that matter.

“Hey Jamie”

“Don’t you hey Jamie me. Where are you? We need to talk.”

“I’m at school and yheah I know that’s why I answered your call. Who are you with?”

“You are not at school I didn’t see you the last two periods. Look I know you and Mike are not talking right now and that’s fine. But I swear he is not with me and Jeremy either.”

“I was you just didn’t see me and fine meet me in the art room when you get your lunch and if your lying to me I won’t talk to you.”

“Fine and I’ll see you in a bit.” She said and hung up.

Well I might as well see what is going to happen with us. I got a spaghetti bowl, cookies, and a strawberry and kiwi Snapple. Once I paid for my lunch I headed to the art room and started eating as soon as I got there.  I hope I was making the right choice because I really didn’t want to screw up things more than they already were. Just than Jaime walked in with her lunch and she looked at me shocked before saying “You dyed your hair.”

“Yheah I dyed it and cut it” I told her before going back to eating my lunch. She sat down in front of me just staring at me. “Look Jaime it would mean a lot if you wouldn’t tell Mike or Jeremy that I changed my hair color. I’m trying to avoid Mike right now.”

“That’s fine by me I won’t say a word but could you just explain to me what the hell happened at the party.” She asked before starting to eat her lunch.

“Thanks and ummm when you left with Jeremy left he asked what Simon and Anthony wanted so I told him. After that we were fine until this girl came out of nowhere and called him baby and practically sat in his lap. Then she started making out with him and he didn’t even push her away so I got up and tried playing volleyball but just decided to leave and that’s when I found you.”

“What happened after that because we went looking for you but we couldn’t find you? I even tried calling and texting you too.” She said with a frown.

“I got a taxi to go home and showered before I left again to go see dad. Before you ask I left my cellphone at home because I didn’t feel like dealing with anyone. Once I was at dads I fell asleep and the security guard woke me up saying it was closing time. I went back home but somebody was in my room. All my things looked like they were searched through. So I checked the rest of the house but it was just my room that was disturbed. After I searched I locked myself in my room and tried going to sleep but I barely slept since every dam noise woke me up.
