Nora's POV

I giggled at how Alex shook his head at the teacher. Seeing the student side of him was different than expected. I thought he was gonna be more quiet type of person one to sleep in class and not care about anything. Or is he just acting this way because I'm here?

I see that he is actually paying attention. "You know what Alex your a little bit different your actually engaging and talking for once why is that?" Sean asked.

Alex looked at me then back at Sean. "It's because of her." Alex said.

"Does she really make you that happy?" Sean asked.

"Yeah." Alex said then looked at me. "Yeah she does." He also said. Which made me blush.

"Any time." I said.

The bell rings again and Alex puts his stuff away. "So before how were you in school?" I asked.

"He would always sleep in this class it would of just been in Jr. high school." The teacher said.

"Well I had a good grade." Alex said.

"It's because your smart." He said. Alex nodded and left while taking my hand.

"Why did you sleep in class?" I asked.

"I was always tired never really got a lot of sleep I get more sleep when I'm with you than I did in LA." He said. So did I.

"What made you have less sleep before?" I asked.

"Well Iden that's why and some other things." He said.

"So what's next?" I asked.

He took a sigh. "Study hall thats what class Jenna's in." He said. Meeting his ex and was dead is gonna be weird. We enter the room and the teacher looks at me.

"I'm guessing your Nora the principal told me you were here." The teacher said.

"Yeah I'm Nora." I said.

"Ok well sit where ever." She said with a smile then I sit next to Alex.

"Alex we got to talk." I heard a girl say to Alex. I look over and she's beautiful. Alex stays quiet. "Can we talk alone?" She asked.

Alex looks at me. "Can she come?" Alex asked.

"Is that your new girlfriend?" She asked. Alex nodded. She just came back and she just assumes that I'm his girlfriend? There's something not right here appearing at this time is very suspicious. "Yeah she can come. Does she know about Uni's?" She asked. I looked at her and nodded. "Ok that means you love her." She said and Alex eyes change color to a yellow. What does yellow mean again?

So red for pissed off, orange is protective ,and yellow is... "your happy?" I asked out of nowhere. Alex's eyes changed back to normal and looked at me confused.

"Alex do you not know what your eyes mean?" She asked.

"No I don't." He said and she walked out and both Alex and I get up then we follow her.

I turned the corner. "By the way I'm Jenna Alex's dead ex." She said and gave me a smile which made me jump.

"My names Nora." I said.

"That's a pretty name." She said. She seems a bit up beat exactly like when I met him. No expression, emotionless, cold even, this is starting to make me worry. "Are you a Unicell? I asked.

She nodded. "Is your power to drain emotions?" I asked. Jenna just looked at me surprised. How am I not effected though?

"How did you guess that?" She asked confused. I looked at Alex and his face is just nothing no emotion at all. I pointed at Alex.

"That's how I knew are you trying to do something?" I asked. Jenna looked at me confused.

"I'm not trying to do anything." She said.

"Then why is he like that and not me?" I asked.

"Your not a Unicell but your not human." She said and tilted her head. What does she mean I'm not human?

She looks at Alex. Alex's eyes turn red. He's pissed why is he pissed. "Jenna what are you saying? What are you planning." Alex asked. His tone it's anger. Full of it. Why is he so mad?

"Alex I'm not planning anything just calm down." She said and I don't know what to do.

"Leave." He said looking at Jenna. Jenna just looked at me. "I SAID LEAVE!" He yelled. I look at his eyes again it's red-ish orange. He's trying to protect me? Isn't he? Jenna left. "She's lying." He said calmly.

"Do you want to go back home?" I asked. He just nodded. "Ok let's go but what made you so mad?" I asked.

"I don't know." He said then looked at me his cheek is wet. Was he crying too?

"Are you ok?" I asked.

"Yeah why?" He asked.

"Just your cheek is wet were you crying?" I asked. He looks confused.

"No at least I don't know. When we get back to the house we should probably talk to Noah about this and what she said to you." He said and I nodded as we left.

We got back home. Brie was playing with Kevin while Auden was opening a portal?!! Wait. What? Auden looked at me then it disappeared. This house gets weirder and weirder. I look back at Kevin he's so cute, to see him as an adult was different I wonder who he loved to make him that sad. He looked so hopeless so broken. Why was he so happy to see us together?

"Nora you doing ok?" Alex asked. Not to mention Jenna I don't trust her she just appears the same time as Auden, Jacob, and Brie comes? I don't understand why she's even here. "Nora?" Alex asked and waved his hand out. There has to be a reason why she came now. Why am I worrying about this it's not like she can take Alex from me. I shake my head. Can she?

No that's not gonna happen. Alex told me that he would never cheat on me so why do I get this bad gut feeling from her? Is it just because she's Alex's ex? I felt something poking me. I look at who was poking me.

"Nora you doing ok?" Alex asked.

"Yeah." I said and smiled. Why did I lie? Alex takes my hand and brings me to my room. But should that just be our room?

"Why are you lying to me?" He asked.

I guess I'm just trying to "figure her out." I said on accident.

"What do you mean by that?" He asked.

"Jenna she just gives me a bad feeling." I said. He sighed.

"To be honest you kinda scared me there, but yeah somethings not right." He said and that makes me sigh in relief. "Wait did you think that I thought different?" He asked.

"I umm." I said but stopped I just looked at him. "I guess it's just because she's your ex but..." I said then he interrupted.

"Do you think she's gonna take me away from you?" He asked. I blushed out of embarrassment. I know exactly what he's going to say. "You don't have to worry. I love you Nora." He said. I knew that's what he was gonna say.

"But..." I said then he interrupted again.

"Nora stop thinking that she's gonna take me away. I want to be with you not her." He said.

"What if she you know her power extracts emotions what if it also brings back emotions?" I asked.

"You just got to trust me can you do that?" He asked looking at me in my eyes he's worried.

"Yeah." I said.
