" I understand it's a lot but I believe if you work hard enough, you'll be running in no time like Nora and me-"

My blood began to boil more and more, like a volcano ready to erupt.

"That's the thing I'm not like Nora, and I'm definitely not like-" I stopped mid-sentence as mom and Flash watched with worried eyes.

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.

"Dawn, Is there something you want to talk about?" Flash said calmly, stepping closer.

"You know you can come to us about anything!" Mom added.

"No, I just-I just need a break!" I said leaving the room quickly as mom followed closely behind.

"Dawn, wait!" mom said calling out to me.

She grabbed my arm stopping me in the hallway.

"What's going on?" mom asked.

"Nothings going on. I just needed a break."

"A break from training or dad?" mom asked as I stayed silent." I know you've been avoiding dad ever since you arrived just like Nora avoided me!"

"I'm not avoiding him!" I mumbled as I leaned against the wall."Why does everyone keep saying that."

"Look Dawn, I was in the same position a few years ago when Francine." she paused."When my mom came back after being gone for years."

"This isn't the same!"I replied. "Grandma Francine wasn't a superhero!"

"Is it?" Mom questioned. "I remember being so angry that she wasn't there for me while I was growing up that I refused to talk or see her until-until it was too late!" mom continued." I'm not saying Barry will disappear in the future, but I do know from experience that you'll feel a lot better if you talk to him!"

"That's what Speed force grandma said!" I mumbled." What am I even supposed to say?"

"I'm not rushing you, but get what you're feeling out now. Bottling all your feelings usually ends badly." mom said with an encouraging smile before walking away.

"And that's why I've been camping in the janitor's closet!" I said, finishing up the story.

I didn't tell her everything but enough to get the point across.

I heard Nora historically laughing on the other end of my earpiece.

"So you're telling me you can't run?" Nora laughed." That's the easiest thing to do!"

"For you!" I said, offended.

"Look Dawn!" Nora began." If I can figure out how to run on my own, you can too. You just have to believe in yourself; I know you can do it."

"Sure!" I agreed right as a message appeared on my screen.

"There was an alarm tripped at Central City Art Gallery!" I explained as more information appeared on the screen."Do you think you can handle this by yourself?"

"I'm not by myself; you're here!" Nora replied as the purple dot began moving faster.

"Okay," I huffed.

I told Nora the suspect's last spotting and gave her a short description as I've seen Cisco do multiple times.

"I see him!" Nora replied."He just gave the painting to red!"
