Reconnecting

Me and Tommy arrive at the hospital and immediately go to the front desk. "Hello, I'm Ms Old, I'm here for my father, mr Gold" I tell the woman. "Okay, and who are you? Family only" the women says. "He's a family friend, does that count?" I ask. "Sorry, only family" she says. "He's my husband!" I tell her. "Oh, okay go ahead" she says and she gives us a room number.

When we walk to the room I can feel my cheeks getting warm. "Why did you tell her I'm your husband?" Tommy asks me whispering. "They wouldn't let you come with me otherwise!" I whisper back. "Okay" he replies and we go to my dads room.

Will and my mother were already sitting next to his bed. "I'm here!" I say and I sit next to my dad. Tommy sits down next to me and tries to comfort me.

"Oh, hello Tommy" my mom says surprised. "Hello Mrs Gold" he greets her.

"What happened?" I ask my mother. "Heart attack, they don't know what happened" my mother says while she holds my fathers hand. "Do you think he will wake up soon?" I ask. "We don't know" my mom tells me.

I feel tears rolling down my cheeks. "Hey, it's going to be okay" Tommy says softly and he pulls me in a for a hug. "You don't know that" I say. "I'm sorry" he says and he hugs me tighter.

I feel tears dropping on Tommy's shirt. "Sorry about your shirt" I say and I run my eyes. "It's fine" he says and he leans his head on my shoulder.

Not to long later a doctor walks in. "Who are you two?" He asks when he sees me and Tommy. "I'm Thomas Simons" Tommy tells the doctor. "Oh then this must be Mrs Simons-Gold? The doctor told me you two came to visit" he says and he looks at his clipboard.

My mums eyes spread open and so Will's eyes do the same. "Uhm, Yes" I reply and I get up from Tommy's chest.

"Okay, mr gold will be okay don't worry! But he does need rest. You can stay the night if you want." He says and he leaves the room.

"What the fuck was that about?" Will asks me. "They wouldn't let Tommy in when I said he was a family friend" I tell them. "Oh" will replies and him and mum exchange looks.

I lean back on Tommy's chest and he hugs me again.

Next morning I wake up in my dads hospital room to find myself on the grey sofa in the corner of the room, still in Tommy's arms. "Tommy?" I ask trying to wake him up. He slowly opens his eyes. "Hey Amy" he says rubbing his eyes.

"Morning" I greet him and I get up. I look at my dads bed, he's still asleep.

Not to long later the doctor walks in. "Good morning Mr and Mrs Simons! You guys will need to leave" he says. "Oh, okay" I say. I get up from the sofa and get my bag and so does Tommy.

I take one last look at my dad before I leave the room. "It's going to be okay" Tommy says and he takes my hand. We walk outside the hospital and go into Tommy's car.

"Can you please drop me off?" I ask him. "Oh, of course" he says and we go to my house.

We arrive at my house and we go inside. "You can stay if you want" I say quietly and I go to the kitchen. "Thanks" he replies and he sits down on the sofa.

Me and Tommy talk for a while. It's comforting to talk to him again. The moment breaks when someone rings my doorbell. I go to the door and open it to see Emily and Tubbo standing in the door frame.

"Hello Mrs Simons" Tubbo says giggling and my face gets red. "How did you know?" I ask. "Wilbur told me" he says and he goes inside.

"Are you okay?" Emily asks me and she gives me a hug. "I'm fine" I tell her and I hug her back.

We all sit down in the living room. "I'm so exited!" Emily squealed. Her and Tubbo's wedding was in a week and she has been very exited since Tubbo proposed.

"Me to!" I tell her and we talk about the wedding more.
