-George Pov-

"Let's go, slowpoke" I call out for Dream, who is still walking across the street. I'm already pulling the door open to Nandos.

"I'm going as fast as I can!" He laughs, finally making his way over to me. I hold the door open for him, but he quickly nudges me inside as he takes it himself.

We walk up to the front desk, asking for a table for two. The lady nods her head, typing in something on her device, motioning for us to follow her. I start to walk first, Dream following behind me.

We get placed in a small booth at the corner of the restaurant. She hands us our menus, quickly leaving us alone.

"So, what do you wanna eat?" He asks, opening up the menu.

How about-

"I'll just get Fish and chips, the usual" I say without even touching my menu. I get the same dish every-time, doesn't matter what restaurant.

"Basic British, huh?" He teases, peeking his eyes out from behind his menu. I just shake my head, feeling a blush creeping onto my face. Keep it together George.

"Oh and what are you getting? A burger and fries?" I say back, rolling my eyes in a joking matter.

"Actually," he laughs, setting his menu down. "I'm getting steak and fries"

I scoff, watching the waiter come back over to take our orders. We both get waters, and the waitress comes out to give us our drinks.

The rest of the night at the restaurant was pretty basic, we ate our food rather quickly and just talked about ourselves.

It turns out, Dream used to play football with his friend Sapnap back in high school. He also has a little sister named Drista. He met Morgan through a group of friends, and the day I was their waiter was their first date.

"Oh shit! i'm so sorry holy fuck I feel so bad-"

"George" Dream interrupts, laughing at me. "Morgan was the one who encouraged me to text you. She wanted us to get together tonight" He places his fork down and raises his hand for the check.

"Well still, that was pretty rude of me!" I internally facepalm for being is ignorant. Why didn't I even think of that!

The waitress comes over and places the check in front of Dream before taking our plates and heading towards the back.

"Give me the check, Dream" I say while reaching for the black checkbook.

"No can do" He raises his arm for the air so it's out of my reach.

"Dream-" I try and reach for it once more, but end up failing due to my lack of height. Damn you, you lanky bit-

He reaches in his pocket for his wallet, pulling out a some cash and places it in the black leather book. Setting it off to the side, he gets up from the booth and holds out his hand for me to grab.

"C'mon, let's go" He leads me out the door, our hands laced together. Usually i'm the confident one...who the fuck is this?

We walk outside to be met with pouring rain. Of course, why wouldn't it be raining.

"Luckily we didn't park that far away" He mumbles, pulling his hood up. I let go of his hand to put mine up as-well, immediately locking our hands together again.

We walk across the sidewalk to his car, avoiding the rain. As he starts the car, I look out the window and see the streets are pretty much flooded.

We pull out of the parking lot, slowly merging in with the cars who are all stopped on the road. Dream looks at his rearview mirror, making sure it isn't a car crash or something.

"Well-" Dream turns towards me while letting go of the steering wheel. "We're stuck in traffic, this is going to be awhile" He sighs, taking his phone out of his pocket. I look at him as he clicks on Spotify, choosing a playlist.

Please Don't Go- Mike Posner

We both start to belt the lyrics, looking like total weirdos from anyone who is looking at us through the window.
_

Thirty minutes pass, and we have barely even moved. The rain is coming down even harder, and Dream's playlist is running out of songs.

We finally move a little bit more, but Dream decided that wasn't enough for him. As we inch closer on the road, we come to a stop in front of an entrance to a park. Without hesitation, Dream takes a sharp turn into the entrance, leaving the traffic behind.

"Where are we going?" I ask, looking back at the road.

"I got bored, why not pass time here?" He pulls over on the side of the road, near a grass patch underneath a tree. Which is somehow not wet?

He unbuckles his seatbelt, stepping out in the pouring rain. He shuts the door, making his way around the car to open my door.

The second he it, the sound of the rain overthrows every other sound. He smiles, his blonde shaggy hair sticking out from his hood. I can't help but giggle as he takes my hand, leading me over to the grass. Although he didn't shut the door, but he doesn't seem to care.

Pulling out his phone, he clicks back on to the playlist, which is still connected to the car. The music comes blasting out of the speakers, drowning the sound of rain out.

He takes a seat on the grass, leaving me awkwardly standing but, still gripping onto his hand. He looks back up, yanking me down on his lap. He let's go of my hand, wrapping both arms around my waist.

"Let's just stay here for a bit, okay?" He whispers, looking ahead at the view ahead. I nod, feeling him bury his nose into the crook of my neck.
_

We stay in that position for awhile, me in his lap as we stare at the view, music blasting in the background.

The rain died down after a bit, Dream deciding the traffic shouldn't be as bad anymore.

He drops me off back at home, promising to take me out for breakfast tomorrow morning. We say our goodbyes, and he drives off.

I run inside, with this biggest smile on my face. I just know he's the one.
