The bard wasn't there, and Y/N didn't know why. They sat up from their bed and looked everywhere across their room. The mattress is in the wardrobe, cleaned like Venti didn't even exist. It took them a while to realize that they were trying to find a bard they didn't like as much, so they didn't bother to find him anymore. Y/N somehow missed their presence and shook their head when they thought about that. Their feet reach the ground and stood up, stretching, then went over to the wardrobe and opened the doors. Taking out their usual outfit from the wooden closet, and exit their bedroom. L/N usually did their morning routine, shower, brush their teeth, and put on their outfit for the day. They left the bathroom, walked downstairs, and went to the dinner table. Glancing at the busy woman who was stuffing random things down in the travelling bag.
"What are you doing?" Y/N asked as they watch Blanche do her own things.
"Preparing for your adventures, why?" replied Blanche, and faced Y/N.
Y/N gulped as they look at the bag. It looked full and probably heavy, too. They aren't ready to leave their city yet. Blanche gave the pianist the bag and a quick kiss on the head, little tears forming in her watery brown eyes, and a sniffle. Wiping her tears away with a finger, and put on a radiant smile.
"My baby... travelling without me... all grown up!" Her voice quivered, then her face becomes red and bursts out crying.
Y/N's face heated and their throat felt sore, holding back the tears. They didn't enjoy seeing their mom cry; it hurts them. So, the pianist makes the bag disappear and wrapped their arms around their loving mom, tightly. Holding back tears was becoming difficult. The pianist let out a couple of tears, soon a puddle of tears.
Y/N sobbed, "—I'll come ba-back, I promise... I'll buy lots of souvenirs, ingredients, or whatever! Just for you, m-mom!"
"Stop! You're making me cry harder!" laughed Blanche and wrapped her arms around the pianist. "Just like what Venti said last night, you can always come back to see me."
"I suppose you're right," Y/N said and unwrapped their arms around Blanche and stepped back.
Blanche wiped her tears away, putting her hands on her hips, and looked at Y/N proudly, "go on, have fun exploring! I better expect lots of souvenirs with you when you come back! Love you!"
The pianist headed to the door, and turned their head to see her, and waved with a slight smile on their face, "love you too. I'll miss you!"
Opening the door, and looked back at Blanche, who was still waving at them. Just one more glance at their mother, 'keep Blanche's promise.' Closing the door with a sad sigh. Walking down the cement stairs and glancing at the Mondstadt's buildings, wondering, 'should I wait for Venti?' Y/N sat down on the staircase that was near Flora's shop. Fiddling with their fingers as they kept asking themselves the question in their head repeatedly. Then, a pair of hands blocked their view.
"Guess who?" someone cooed, not removing their hands away from the pianist's eyes.
Y/N smirked and decided to not answer, but not remove their hands that were covering their view. Whistling as they kept on fiddling with their fingers. A heavy sigh was heard from the person behind them.
"Guess who!" they asked again, sounding a bit irritated.
Y/N finally answered, "Aether?"
The pianist heard a gasp behind them, it sounded like they are offended. So, they uncovered the pianist's eyes and went in front of them. It was the bard, except his braids were down. His hands were on his hips with an angry expression on his face, "What? No! Do I look like an Aether to you?"
