Aizawa and I sat in the waiting room. We got to school early, so the rest of the class wasn't here yet. I was clad in my PE uniform, and checking over my equipment a million times.
"You will be fine. I believe in you." He reassured me.
"Do you think I can win this?" I asked, freaking the fuck out.
"Definitely. I know you are more than capable. However, whether you will actually win, I cannot tell you. But I do know you'll get far." He smiled at me.
"I need to go commentate with Hizashi, so I won't see you till lunch. You'll be okay. I promise." He held my hand gently, rubbing circles on the back of it with his thumb.
"Okay. I'll see you soon. Wish me luck!" He laughed a little.
"You don't need it." And with that, he'd left me to it. It was up to me now.
The students started entering, all either pumped up or extremely jittery. Or both, meaning Midoriya. Todoroki had basically gone insane and challenged Midoriya of all people, and Bakugo was yelling at him, saying not to ignore him. I'll admit, I didn't really see the green-haired boy as a threat. Sure, he was extremely powerful, but he couldn't control his quirk. At all. But he seemed plucky, and All Might seemed to have taken a liking to him, so I stayed cautious. Staying far away from the war waged between the trio.
We walked out across the first-year stage, being introduced by my very own buddy Present Mic, and a hesitant Aizawa, who very clearly didn't wanna be there. Gathering round, Midnight asked the first-year rep to say something. Unfortunately, this happened to be Katsuki.
"I pledge to become number one." He growled down the microphone. The classes were in uproar at his assholery, myself included.
"Seriously, Katsuki?!" I yelled at him.
"SHUT UP HAG!" Midnight quickly ushered him off the stage, and began to explain the first challenge.
"Obstacle race! You must complete this race, trying to avoid and cross the obstacles in your way!"
'An obstacle race? 30m it is.' I quickly changed out the strings on my yoyos, preparing for the race. We got into place, and on the mark, we were off.
Bakugo and Todoroki tied for first, whilst the rest of 1-A followed behind, still in front of the others.
"Are you fucking kidding me?" I exclaimed at the entrance exam robots in our way. Todoroki promptly froze them in a very precarious position.
"Oh hell no," I swung around them as quickly as possible by hooking onto the robots' necks, before they fell to the ground. Surely, they collapsed with a loud crash. Close behind Katsuki and Todoroki, I kept running with all my power. We came across some kind of canyon, with ropes attached over the drops.
'Okay, think fast...' I threw my yoyo at the rope, using it as an almost zip-line type of thing to travel along it. At the end of the rope, I swung off and onto the next. However, Todoroki was freezing over the ropes. This extended to my yoyo, it freezing to it.
"You fucker-" I pulled myself up, one arm holding onto the rope, the other trying to free my yoyo from the ice by punching it repeatedly. Like glass shattering, it broke around my bloodied fist and freed my precious righty. Annoyingly, a few had passed me during this time. I hopped back up and continued swinging about.
Running along the track we were met with a minefield. Yes, a fucking minefield.
"Don't worry! These mines only give a smaller explosion, not enough to blow anyone up!" Hizashi's voice boomed through the stadium.
