Promise (Whitty x Reader)

Muffled voices echoed in your head and your eyes opened, flashing a bright orange. You tried to speak, but only gurgles escaped your lips. You realized you were encased in some thick liquid and you were surrounded by some weird forcefield that prevented you from moving.

You were stuck a ball position and you tried to scream. Nothing worked. You attempted to kick the invisible forcefield, but to no avail. No one could see through the gooey liquid you were stuck in, but you cried out of frustration.

Eventually, you stopped trying. Resting your head in your knees as you body continued to float in a circle. Suddenly, you felt small vibrations and through your closed eyes, you could a shadow cast over you. Your eyes opened a you saw orange lights.

You heard whatever it was talk, but it was muffled like before. You only heard one word.

"o u t."

You flinched as they lunged forward and whatever you were stuck in shattered. You coughed up the strange liquid, heaving uncomfortably. You felt the freezing cold air hit your naked body. You shivered, still choking a little.

You body slid onto the ground and you shook, your new sense rushing through you. "We have to go!" You heard the sound leave your savior's mouth. You didn't understand the random sounds he was mixing together.

You observed the person. He had a blocky build, but was lanky also. He was all black and had a round head. His eyes were similar to yours and he was no taller than you.

He grabbed your hand, lifting you up and putting you on his back.

He was....

Really warm.

You held him tightly as he started running. Someone shouted behind you and heard a loud sound that was coming from a red, spinning dot on the wall. It was screaming. And glowing? Weird.

You took in your surroundings and became fearful as the people yelling starting following you and the person who freed you. "It's alright, we're gonna get outta here." He seemed to have a deep, serious voice.

The voices of your pursuers became quieter and quieter, until it was completely silent. You both found yourselves a place overfilled with plants. "I think we're in, what humans call, a forest." When he didn't hear you say anything, he turned to look at you.

"You don't talk much do you?" He asked. You remained silent and you both stopped in front of a cave of somekind. The guy set you down on a rock and you wobbled, not being used to sitting by yourself. You tried to stand, but fell.

You winced at the feeling of a stinging pain on your body. "You okay?" The person came over to you.  You closed your eyes at the painful feeling on your leg. Your body was sensitive for some reason.

"You can't talk, can you?" He asked. "Here, try this." You were confused as he began to make weird sounds. "Whi-tty." They pointed to himself, making the same sound.

You repeated after them, "W-Wh....Whi.....W-Whitty?" You smiled at your accomplishment of copying him. You bounced in excitement, saying his name constantly.

"Whitty! Whitty! Whitty! Whitty! Whitty! Whitty!-" He cut you off, covering your mouth with a soft laugh, "Yeah, that's my name, now don't wear it out."

He looked around and saw a dusty, dirty sheet and handed it to you. "You need to cover up. It's pretty cold. We don't need sustenance because we're, well, 'different'. So that's off the list." He mumbled. You took the sheet from him and wrapped it around yourself.

After finally escaping the facility, Whitty felt free. But, he didn't know what he was gonna do about you. You seemed so fragile, so innocent, so....childish. If anyone asked you something, you might give them away.

He needed to go out and look for some town or city nearby. If he walked around with his metal parts showing, he'd probably freak out a lot of people.

Whitty was startled by a sound coming from behind him and he turned to see you knocked out cold, snoring loudly. He rolled his eyes and moving over to you. He sat next to you, fixing the makeshift blanket that rested on you.

This was the start of a great story....
