Ross P.O.V
We had an Interview pretty early this morning, I was careful not to wake Lena, I'm sure like any normal teen she likes her Saturday sleep-ins. We all got ready and were placed in hair and make-up. Rydel was having a more elaborate treatment to the left of me and Rocky was thumbing through a magazine to my right. "So..." Rocky let his deep voice drone out filling the silence in the air. "Ross, we were all wondering why you blew the date last night." Rocky muttered like this conversation was the most normal thing in the world. I felt my face flame up and internally cursed my brother's bluntness. Riker and Ratliff turned around from their seats on the other side of the room and I could see their curious faces in my mirror. Lena. that was the first thing that popped in my head, i'm not sure if it was a mental reminder to keep quite because she was still sleeping or if she was the one I blew the date for. I shook the last thought out of my head. "Uhh, what are you talking about." I mumbled. The stylist peered over at me in interest still cautiously maneuvering the eye shadow on Rydel's lids. Heck, even Ryland came out from the depths of the sound room to hear this. "She just didn't like me that's all." I deadpanned. A shriek from Lena's side of the brain pulled me out of reality. "I'm Late!" She yelled her breathing scrambling around like she was in a hurry. "See, I told you he's doing that a lot lately." Riker bumped Ratliff on his arm. "Girls not liking him?" Ratliff knitted his eyebrows. Rydel laughed, and Riker shook his head, "No, that spacey look....I mean he's always been spacey but this look is different..." I rubbed my temple, I really just wanted to ask Lena what's wrong but every ones around me... "There is nothing different in my spaciness." I tried to play that one off, but with my voice shaking insecurely I doubt they'd buy it. "Yeah, Ross you have been a bit disconnected more than usual." Rydel chimed in. "I don't know what you're talking about." I grumbled getting up then storming off into the bathroom. I was almost out of ear shot when I heard Rydel whisper, "And more angry, too."
Lena's P.O.V
"stupid, stupid, stupid." I muttered under my breath how could I forget to set my alarm? I was so tried and distracted last night I just sort of passed out. I have to be at my neighbors house in 5 minutes to babysit from noon to eight at night. Curse my sleeping-in-ness...whatever you would call it! "Stupid." I growled again thrusting a leg into my pants while working on a piece of toast. "Why am I stupid?" I heard Ross playfully call. I rolled my eyes, "I was talking about me." I droned, in no mood for foolishness. "I figured, just had to check." He laughed, "Whats up?" "I have to go babysit all the way to eight tonight, and plus, Lisa's complaining she's come down with a cold and doesn't want to get the kids sick, so I have to go all by myself." I pulled my hoody over my head and grabbed my phone. "Who's Lisa?" "My twin sister." did I never tell him that before?"I didn't know you have a twin!" "Yeah I do... but unfortunately I can't go into my life story now I am about to come up to my neighbors door." "Well when you come back from babysitting you gotta tell me your life story, who knows what else your hiding your dad could be a spy!" I just chuckled. "I'm wasn't hiding anything, you never asked! I really gotta go now Ross, I tell you everything later." "You swear?" "I swear." I laughed and knocked on the familiar white door to my neighbors gray house. "Bye, Lena, I'll talk to you soon." My frazzled, frizzy haired neighbor opened the door, immediately apologizing for the mess her house was in, I reassured her it was fine as two small blond haired boys came running and jumped onto my legs. "Hi, Cruise and Ryder have you been good boys for your mommy?" they both gave a wide grin and shook their heads. "Where's Lisa?" the oldest Cruise questioned in his high 6 year old voice. "She felt sick and didn't want to get you guys sick, too." Ryder whipped his nose on the back of his hand then brushed it against my pants leg, "Wha's sick?" the four year old babbled, I just brushed his thin hair back and smiled, not in the mood to go into germ spreading, though I assume thousands of them are now on my pant leg. My Neighbor, kissed her boys good bye and then quickly told me about the Mac&Cheese they just had and there is T.V dinners in the freezer for dinner, then told me to get them into P.J's and bed around 7. I nodded already knowing the procedure, and then the boys and I waved the mother out of the house.
