(George Weasley x Y/n)

Today was the last task of the triwizard tournament, i was happy that it was finally coming to an end, but I was still worried because this will be the hardest and most challenging task any of the champions have faced.. As i stood up i noticed all the girls all getting ready in the bathroom, as i chose my outfit i joined in and got ready with them. Before I left my dorm I got y/n (the bear cedric gave me) and met with George in the common room. As I walked down the staircase he looked up at me and smiled "morning love, you look stunning as always" "why thank you kind sir, you don't look too bad yourself" as we both chuckled and interlocked our fingers, we were on our way to the great hall..

When we sat with everyone in the table we all started questioning what the last task was gonna be "i heard it's gonna be a wizarding duel" seamus said "well i heard it was another creature" as everyone kept on going on about the ideas, i started to worry about all the bad things that could happen. I think George noticed me freaking out, he held my hand tight under the table and gave me a reassuring smile. Time passed quickly, when i looked at the clock i noticed it was already time to go to the arena. As the crowd was on their way to the arena I turned around and saw Hermione, I walked to her "do you wanna wish them luck again?.. I just wanna reassure them that they can do it" "brilliant y/n! I was thinking the same" as we both giggled and ran to the tent, I turned around and gestured to George to go ahead and he nodded. As we reached the champions tent I saw Andrei and Viktor, as me and Hermione wished them luck I heard a familiar voice say "Y/N!" I looked up and saw Cedric running towards me with open arms. As i waited for him to hug me back i noticed him grabbing the bear "oh.. I was talking to the bear" he smirked and i rolled my eyes "i'm just joking, come here" as I hugged him tight I started to worry again "hey, y/n.. I'll be okay.. Come on give me a chance! I'm quite brilliant.. Me and harry will be fine.. Nothing will happen" i nodded and let go of the hug "I came here to wish you guys luck, and to give you y/n" as i finished my sentence cedric looked at me with a confused expression "what.. Do you not want her anymore?" "oh! No no! Just so that you can give her to me when you come back" he nodded and hugged me again tight.

After a while Dumbledore came into the tent "champions, its time! Let's go to the arena.." he turned to both me and hermione and said "Ms snape and granger pls go back before the task starts" as me and hermione waved goodbye to the champions we started running back to the arena, once we arrived we sat between george and ron and started cheering the champions on. As the champions walked in the arena the band started playing music, dumbledore then walked forward and started his speech "Earlier today Professor Moody placed the triwizards cup deep within the maze. Only he knows its exact position. Now as Mr Diggory and Mr Potter, you both will be first to enter the maze, followed by Mr Akulov and Mr Krum, Then Ms Delacour and Ms Badeaux" As the crowd started cheering wildly dumbledore smiled then continued "The first person to touch the cup will be the winner. I've instructed the staff to patrol the perimeter, if at any point should a contestant wish to withdraw from the task he or she need only send up red sparks with their wands. Contestants gather round." as they all turned around to face Dumbledore he continued and told them "In the, maze you'll find not dragons or creatures of the deep. Instead, you'll face something more challenging. You see, people change in the maze. Oh find the cup if you can, but be very weary you could just lose yourselves along the way." as he finished his sentence i started to worry again, george looked at me and whispered in my ear "they will be fine y/n.. I promise" as you smiled at him and kissed his cheek he held your hand tight. Mad eye then shouted "CHAMPIONS! PREPARE YOURSELF" as cedric hugged his father, he waved at you with a smile. As i waved and mouthed "goodluck" dumbledore continued "ON THE COUNT OF THREE.. ONE-" the canon then goes off and the 2 hogwarts champions enter the maze.

After a few hours Fleaur and Gabrielle were rescued with scratches on their faces, they looked terrified, as I saw their expressions I felt George hug me tighter. After a few more hours Andrei and Viktor came back, but they were under the Imperius curse...i heard dumbledore talking to my father and they both seemed like they were figuring out how that happened.. After a while I saw both Harry and Cedric limping out of the maze, as I looked down and joined the crowd in cheering them on I noticed Cedric fall to the ground. As soon as I saw him fall I ran down to them and laid his head on my lap, after a few seconds he started to scream in pain. I looked up at harry "WHAT'S HAPPENING TO HIM... HARRY ANSWER ME" "as everyone heard me shout i could hear people gasping and whispering "voldemort.. He was here... he- he used the crucio curse" as Cedric continued to scream in pain, I hugged him tight and kept on whispering in his ear "its ok.. Cedric your ok.. Pls just fight.. You will be okay". Everyone tried to grab me so that madam pomfrey could bring him in the hospital wing, but i didn't let go.. I kept on crying until my father ran to me and hugged me tight "y/n.. Let go.. Madam pomfrey needs to bring him to the hospital wing" i let go of Cedric and hugged my father tight. He comforted me and whispered in my ear "its ok.. He will be fine" as father let go of me, he told George to bring me to the hospital wing and George nodded. After walking up the steps I saw Cedric laying on the bed and I ran to him, and continued to cry. I felt George hold my shoulders and hug me from behind, after a while he sat beside me and made me cry in his shoulder.. Why did this happen to cedric.. He didn't do anything.. Why did Voldemort do this to him.. My best friend..
