"God please, please be okay." I whispered under my breathe, still trying to shake Sarah awake.
After just a few moments her eyes started to open again. I felt relieved, like a tsunami wave had passed through me. In that moment my emotions couldn't keep up with my racing heart. I didn't know what I was feeling besides the thankful adrenaline that Sarah was waking up. She looked up at me for a few moments with furrowed brows.
"Honey, you collapsed. It's okay, everything's okay." I spoke trying to calm her down, but mostly trying to calm myself down.
I picked her up cradle-like and brought her over to the couch, placing her gently on it and making sure her head was supported by a pillow.
"Am I okay?" Sarah questioned as her eyes went in and out of focus.
"You're okay baby. Just stay there i'm getting you water." I said placing a kiss on her forehead and rushing to the water pitcher.
My shaky fingers filled up a glass and scurried it back to Sarah.
"Thank you." she said softly taking the cup from my hands.
I held the back of her head as she drank. Even with over 9 hours of sleep, Sarah's face still looked tired. I don't understand what I did wrong. I never noticed how bad she'd gotten. How could I have been so absent-minded to what was right in front of me? I thought she was eating enough, I thought she was sleeping enough. Even if she was working at ungodly hours, I thought she was okay.
Sarah nearly chugged the entire glass, as she was dehydrated too. I couldn't help but tear up at the sight in front of me. Sarah looked miserable. I sat down next to her after placing the glass on the table in front of us. I stroked the side of her face and gave her a small but meaningful kiss.
"What are you crying for?" she asked.
"Nothing honey." I said wiping the few tears away. "I'll get you a bowl of spaghetti, you should eat something."
Sarah usually protested saying she wasn't very hungry, but this time she gave in.
I grabbed the bowl that was on the counter and brought it over to Sarah. She sat up and took it in her hands, holding it close to her like a child. She was reluctant to pick up the fork, but eventually gave in. I sat close to her comforting her as she took her time.
"Everything's okay my love." I spoke as I placed a kiss to her temple. "I'm right here."

Sarah finished her bowl a while ago and I made sure she was comfortable on the couch. The tv was on with her favorite show, The Real Housewives of New York City, she had plenty of water bottles, a pillow under her head and a blanket to keep her warm. We had spent the entire day on the couch.
I wanted to take her to the hospital. I knew she needed the care but I was hesitant, so I stayed silent. I knew how much she hated hospitals and there would no doubt be paparazzi as soon as we got there. After battling with my brain I eventually asked her.
"Honey." I said facing her as she watched the tv.
"Yeah?" she said still invested in the screen in front of her, curled up on the side of the couch and resting her head on her hand.
"It might be best if I take you to the hospital." I said stroking her leg gently.
That got her attention. She turned her head and looked me in the eyes.
