Beautiful

She holds her hand out. The greenie shakes it with a huge smile. 

     "So how was your first day?" She begins, while hugging my arm tighter.

     "I think it was fine. For being stuck in the middle of a maze, of course."

She chuckels. I smile when the beautiful sound reaches my ears. I see Gally coming over, he hands (Y/N) a glass and she thanks him quietly. 

    "You'll get used to this place." She says, after taking a sip.

    "I know. Newt said the exact same thing."

     "Well, you should listen to him then. He knows best, believe me."

We talk for another hour. Gally already brought (Y/N) two other glasses. When the third one comes our way I take it away. 

     "What are you doing." She says, already sounding drunk. 

     "You've had enough, love." 

     "One more, please?"

    "Nope. No can do."

    "Fine, do you want it greenie?" She asks

    "No, I don't think it's my thing."

    "Mine either, but it does the job."

I put my arm around her shoulder and pull her close, laughing at her comment.

     "Hey! Anyone up for truth or dare!"

I hear some of the boys agree, suddenly I get pulled up and (Y/N) leads me and the greenie in their direction.

     "Alright 15 minutes, then I'm going to put you in bed." I say after sitting down. 

We play a few rounds, luckily no one picks me, (Y/N) or the greenie. Until...

     "Newt, truth or dare?" The question came from Minho. 

     "Truth." 

     "Alright, alright playing it safe. I think we all suspect that you have feelings for our girl right there. So tell us, how do you feel about her." 

My eyes widen at the question. I wasn't prepared for this. I look at (Y/N) and her eyes meet mine. 

     "You don't have to." She whispers. 

     "We're waiting." Minho says. 

     "Alright, fine. I'll tell you." I sound way more confident than I feel. 

So I begin.

    "As all of you know, (Y/N) is my best friend. We have become really close these past years and I would even die for her. Shuck, have you guys even seen her? She is bloody perfect. And she is also the person that holds everyone toghether. She is so caring, always making sure no one is left behind or shut out. She takes care of Chuck likes he's her own brother and even while doing all that she also does her job perfectly. I think about her all the time, I think about her laugh, her eyes. When she cuddles me I feel like the happiest boy alive. I feel safe. She makes me so bloody happy even with just looking at me. She is my whole world and when we get out of here I'm going to marry her. Give her a safe home. Because I love her. I love you, (Y/N)."

For those last words I turn my body around, so I'm facing her. The boys all go quiet.

     "And if you will excuse me, I have to put this beautiful girl in bed. Goodnight."

I pull (Y/N) up with me and we make our way to her hut. She doesn't say anything, looking at her feet while walking. 

     "That was sweet." She says when we arrive. 

      "I'm probably to drunk to remember that tomorrow, please remind me?"

She looks at me with puppy eyes, her voice sounds sincere. 

     "Of course"

I can't stop the smile that formes on my face, while I push the door open. (Y/N) lays down in her hammock and I pull the sheets over her exhausted body. I start to walk to her door when I hear her whisper something softly. 

     "I love you too, Blondie"

I turn around, feeling my shoulders relax. Her eyes are shut and her breathing is steady. 

     "Sweet dreams, love." I say before closing the door. 

AN: This was a request from someone who wants to stay anonymous. I loved the idea! Of course some things don't match with the movies/novels, it's still a fanfiction.
