Newt imagines (Newt X reader)

Y/N POV

Me and Thomas have been dating for 3 months now. He is fine I guess. I never see him in the morning bc he has to run the maze. On his free days he spends some more time with me. Not a lot, he likes spending time with his other friends more. But I get it although I don't really have any other friends in the glade. Expect for Newt maybe. He is the one that sits next to me on bonfire nights when Thomas left me to go drink with his friends again.

I see Newt, Tommy, Minho and Gally all talking so I walk over to them.

"Hey guys! Uhh Tommy, look what I made" I say excited while showing him the daisy crown that me and Chuck worked 2 hours on.

A big sigh leave his lips "Y/N, can you just go away I really don't care at the moment" He tries to hide it, but I can see him rolling his eyes. He can be such a shank sometimes, ofcourse I never tell him that.

"Y/n, we are busy" I hear Minho say

"I want to se-" Gally cuts Newt off "Y/n, we are busy right now"

I look at the ground and I feel tears forming in my eyes. I feel so stupid, I don't even know why I'm crying. I feel weak. I turn around and walk away before anyone notice the tears that slowly glide across my cheek.

Newt POV

I look at Thomas, who has already started talking again. I don't understand this. Aren't him and Y/n dating? The three of them start laughing at something and I feel the anger building up inside of me. Y/n is a very sweet girl. She should not be treated like this.

"Thomas" I say, calmy at first

"Hey, Thomas!" I know he hears me, what a shank.

I push both his shoulders to get his attention. Thomas tries to keep his balance while I try not to punch him in the face.

"Really mate?!" I yell into his face. "What is wrong with you Thomas?! That's your shucking girlfriend! Why are you so mean to her?!"

My gaze sets on Minho and Gally. "And you are supposed to be her friends! I can't with you bloody shanks right now!"

Thomas does nothing but smirk at me. "You're just jealous bc she loves me and not you" He grins.

"That's it, I'm out!" I set a fast pace so I can run after y/n who is pretty far away by now.

Y/N POV

I suddenly feel someone grab my arm softly.

"Tommy?!" I turn around, hope filling all my senses.

"Uhh, no. Sorry to disappoint" It wasn't Thomas' voice it was Newt's.

I just wish Thomas came after me to make sure I was okay.

"It's alright. What is hope anyways, right?"

I look back at the ground. Suddenly I feel so vulnerable standing before Newt. It's like his eyes are trying to see through me.

"Hey, it's alright. You always got me" He smiles while lifting my chin up so his eyes can meet mine.

I hug him tightly and break down in his arms. He let's me cry on his shirt, not caring that it gets wet. He softly strokes my hair to calm me down. After a few minutes he breaks the silence.

"Now I want to see this amazing creation made by the one and only Y/n" he giggles.

"It uhhh it doesn't matter anymore" This daisy crown just feels like something stupid now.

"Yes it does. Come in, I want to see it" he looks at me and whipes away my tears.

"Alright" I sigh.

I pull the crown out of the pocket of my shorts. I'm suprised that the flowers aren't smashed. Newt's eyes widen as he looks at it. He gently grabs it out of my hands, admiring it. I laugh at how ridiculous he acts. It's just a daisy crown.

"Wow love, this is great"

I laugh and hug him again.

"Thank you, Newt. For everything"

We both blush.
