"I better head off- Sam Nook probably needs me," Tommy said. "I still need to get that cart of spruce I left at the test site."
"That's okay Tommy, it was nice talking to you again. It's been a while." I responded. It was nice to see him, even though he seemed off. He looked out at the crows for most of it, and opening his communicator, fiddling with whatever updates it had.
Tommy nodded and left the house. Tubbo and Ranboo said goodbyes to him as well, and Tommy sped down the walkways of Snowchester. Crows cawed at him, and people were stopping what they were doing just to watch him. He yelled "SORRY" as he sped past, almost knocking over a group of kids and teens.
They continued after though, as a young woman chased after them. We chuckled at the sight, watching the whole ordeal. We sat for a few moments before I decided to continue the conversation.
"So, what are you guys going to do for Valentine's? It's already February, it's only in like 2 weeks." I started.
"Valentine's? What's that?" Ranboo asked. He doesn't know what Valentine's is? I glanced over at Tubbo, but he just acted like it was normal.
"Well, Valentine's is a really old holiday. Created by an old civilization- I think they were called the Romans. It celebrates love, and you spend it with loved ones." I explained.
Ranboo scribbled this information into a journal, and purple particles danced along with the page. When the particles would move in a certain way, he would write more. Maybe he has- no. He's not like Phil, who has crows, or Techno, who has voices. He's normal. Well, as normal you can get as a halfling.
"When is this 'Valentine's?" He asked.
"Isn't it on the 14th?" Tubbo interjected, finally entering the conversation. I nodded to him.
"Tubbo," Ranboo asked, flipping to a certain page in his book. "Isn't that when we're supposed to pick up Michael?" The particles buzzed quietly in agreement.
"Michael? Who's Michael?" I questioned. I hadn't met a lot of people yet, but I haven't heard any mention of a Michael.
"Oh-! So one time, when we were in the Nether- I think it was one of your first days here Ranboo," Ranboo nodded. "We found this Zombie-Piglin boy, whose name was Michael. We brought him to a Piglin village because we thought he was lost. But apparently, he didn't have a family, so we chose to take him in."
"Aww, at least you're going to be taking care of him."
"Yup!" Ranboo smiled. "We have some of the people in Snowchester making him hats and things to help him adjust to the cold weather! I don't recall any of their names- but they've been nice, especially since some of them already have obligations."
Tubbo interjected again, "Yea, and we're even making a room for him in our house. I took some books and stuff to read up on, Ranboo here has already been doing some reading too. I need to return one of the books-" Tubbo cut off, realizing he needed to return it.
"Oh- Tubbo it's okay. Go return that book. I'll be sure to meet Michael as soon as I can, okay?" I looked up at Ranboo, who was watching the particles float around him. "Ranboo, you can go with him! Fresh air is good anyways."
They both nodded and said their goodbyes, and I watched them weave deeper into Snowchester. They stopped for a while, handing a navy book to the same young woman who was chasing the children earlier. Three of the teens were nearby, eating some watermelon. The woman had a large grin on her face and handed Ranboo a yellow and black striped sweater. The sweater looks adorable. I wonder what it's gonna look like when Michael wears it.
The caw of a crow caught my attention. I looked over, and one of the crows was sitting on the windowsill. I opened the window, and the crow hopped inside. It had a necklace, with two charms on it. A pink gem, and a black heart. The crow itself had a little A on its forehead and a few white feathers. In its beak, held two patches. I carefully took the patches out of its beak and examined them.
The patches were small and were rectangular. They looked like a flag of some sort. A red, white, and blue stripe, and a black oval at one end. Three golden X's were in a line on the flag. Interesting. Where have I seen this before? The crow cawed at me again, nodding at the other crows outside. I thanked the crow, handing it a few crumbs of cookie. The crow cawed appreciatively, and flew away to the other crows, sharing the crumbs. I shoved the patches in my pocket, and to went to cleaning the house.
A/N:
Hey, hens- so finally finished rewriting :D
I don't know if this was better than the last version-? But I hope it's okay. References here, I added a few and kept some the same. The crows are Phil's, and the crow with the A is Abbie, one of Phil's VIPs! (Abbie if you see this I hope it's okay-). The group being chased by the woman is a reference to the discord server, and the children next to the woman are a reference to our wonderful amranotfound, Annika_belle, and bowtei. Love you guys.Currently on a road trip to see a ✨bible play✨. Not excited but whatever it's fine. HAPPY PRIDE MONTH- I know I'm late but it's the whole month it's fine.
Stay safe, eat, drink, take ur meds, sleep, and go see the Moon/sun. <33
Love y'all,
