"Look its some kind of cloak?" you hear Mono say as you look back seeing what he was holding, a gasp is cut on your throat.
It's the symbol of The Hope. The little girl presses her hands up against the window of the cart watching the two figures that had run behind her. She now realizes the mistake she has made, however there is no turning back. She got off the suitcases and walked down the isle, the shaking of the cart made her rather dizzy, she jumps on one of the seats and tries to cozy herself against the armrest. She thought of the latest words from The Hope.
The broadcast had been shot that weekend and had been playing during the last 2 weeks:
We have achieved to turn the power back on in the train station of the pale city.
The train will take you towards the entrance of the city.
Once you reach the entrance we will be meeting in the salt mines outside of the city.
You will know how to find your way towards there.Good luck
The HopeThe little girl's slumber was interrupted by a loud thunk in the distance. The cart was bathed in darkness, the windows paved the path in the cart. The brave little girl decided to investigate and find the source the reason behind the darkness. Only accompanied by a flashlight to light her way.
She walked towards the moving platform. The wind raced by her furiously brushing her hair in front of her eyes, If she hadn't been holding on to the railing she would have blown of like a kite. She brushed the hair from her face, accessing the situation, she studies the platform ahead of her. The cart shook violently as if it could tell her intentions, she desperately hung on to the railing, slowly making her way to the end of the platform. She takes a leap of faith.
Her fingers grip the ledge of the platform desperately finding a grip, the little girl pulls herself up on the platform resting on her back. She takes a breather, she gets up walking towards the door, it was suddenly pulled open.
A tall figure, the ticking of a clock and multitude of hands was the last thing she saw.A flashlight drops to the ground.
Mono paced back and forth the room for what was probably the hundreds time.
You both had come back around an hour ago after the incident in the train station, you once again sat in front of the TV with a new determination to turn it on. You took a glance at Mono "could you just" you take a deep breath in "STAY STILL FOR A MINUTE?!" A startled Mono is left staring back at you only breaking his gaze when he ears something fall over, you merely respond by keeping your gaze on him before going back to work. "Are you really gonna fix that thing?" Mono turns over to you crossing his arms,"after what happened at the train station it gives me more reason to want to put this damn thing to work" you respond plugging in some wires "yes but isnt their a more, you know, traditional way to-" you cut him off for what seems the eleventh time today, "No, I've been following them ever since they grouped the first time" you take a pause putting your hands on the sides of the tv, "trust me if their was a more simple way I would have gone with it a long time ago" you look at mono seeing him rub his arm "remember how you had asked me why I was at the signal tower yesterday?" he looks up at you nodding "I went to find this" you get up grabbing your bag from across the floor where you had thrown it when you entered the room hours ago, you grab your bag pulling out a green plastic handing it to Mono. " what is this?" he holds the plastic turning it and studying it "come on lets sit by the window I need a new place to think" you walk out of the room Mono following behind you.
