"Okay. Enough chit-chat. You already know your rooms, and your luggage has already been sent up. The rooms are yours to decorate and do as you please, however this means paint, posters, pictures, etc. If you want a shelf or something, ask first. 'Decorating' does not mean creating massive holes by punching the walls in a fit of unbridled rage." Aizawa looked at Katsuki not-so-subtly, directing those words at him.
"Unpack, then meet on the first floor at 6pm, please. That gives you 6 hours, but if you finish early, feel free to go down early. Got it?" He instructed. The class responded unanimously with nods.
"L/N, stay behind please." The rest of the class went ahead, save for Katsuki who seemed to be lingering in the reception area. He took out a white card and handed it to me.
"This is your security pass. Use it in the lift to unlock the top 2 floors. I swear to God himself, do NOT give this to anyone. Keep it safe. Leave it in your bag or wallet when you don't need it, don't just stick it loose in your pocket. Another thing, there's 3 bells the students can ring in the lift to call myself or All Might in case they need us. The third bell is yours. They'll probably ring you instead if we don't hear it. So just answer, ask who it is, what they want, let them up, and take them to us. If you lose the card, then let me know ASAP. Is that all clear?" I nodded, overloaded with information, and unsure of all this newfound responsibility. It wasn't much, but more than I was used to.
"Okay. Go on then." He dismissed me. I quickly left, already nervous about losing the damn card.
"What you doing still hanging about?" I asked Katsuki, who was now following me to the lift.
"Thought I'd wait for you. What floor are you? I'm on floor 6." He asked.
"Oh, you're just below me then." I said, pressing the 6 button on the lift.
"Huh? Isn't that the staff floor?" He said, confused.
"Yeah, there's an odd number of students so they stuck me on the staff floor. I'm the oldest, so by default they had to put me up there instead of someone else." I pointed at the button labelled 'L/N' on the console, next to the floor numbers.
"Oh. Ain't it locked up there?" He asked, trying to push the 7. I pulled out my card, tapped it on the reader, then pressed 7. It lit up immediately.
"Need this card to get up there. Nobody's allowed up there apart from us three on floor 7. Unless you need one of the teachers, in which case press one of their bells. If they don't answer, ring me. Aizawa's always a heavy sleeper, no matter how much I try to wake him. So he probably won't hear it with all the damn sleeping he does." I answered him. Katsuki stayed quiet for a moment. The doors to the 6th floor opened; yet he made no move.
"Katsuki?" I waved a hand in front of him. Suddenly, he slammed the door close button. The lift doors began to shut on us.
"Hey..." He started. I began to get worried; something wasn't right.
"How do you know he's a heavy sleeper?" He turned to me, in an agitated shock. My eyes widened as my heart sank to my stomach. I'd been here 5 minutes and I'd already fucked up.
"Uh- well, you've seen him in class. He's always in that sleeping bag. Whenever homeroom ends and we have training, I have to wake him up. Nothing I do wakes him up, unless I force him out the sleeping bag." I said casually as possible. He squinted for a moment in suspicion.
"Hm. Okay." He answered, letting go of the door close button. I might have gotten out of this one, but he still looked perplexed as he left.
"See ya down there." I said coolly. As soon as the doors closed, I breathed a sigh of relief.
