The place where I was dragged to was just out of our area, in a place really off the beaten path, indeed desert.

There was a little door in the middle of the sidewalk, between the buildings, that led to the floor below through stairs.

The bar was small and unique.

Some leather sofas were at the two corners, some others wound tables in the middle and the bar desk where people were having their drink.

I wouldn't be allowed to be in such a place in others circumstances, but I noticed a pleacent indifference as we stepped into the bar that made me comfortable.

I loved my fans. They were my family and they supported me limitless. They made me part of something bigger and greatest, but I really needed my privacy.

<It's my turn!> said Theo.

On the table in front of us, some empty beer glasses.

We chose the most hidden and the less illuminated seat of the bar, so that I could have hidden my identity. But then I started hating that place: the heat from the beers was making me sweat so much.

Zack, who was undoubtedly the most exuberant of the group, pointed him a table with some girls chattering.

Theo rubbed his hands, drunk the last sip of beer and walked in their direction.

They made up this stupid game and by turning we had to get close to some girl and have fun.

Obviously, I denied the offer.

Plus, I was seriously drunk.

Shortly after I was alone at the table.

I was no longer straight and despite that, or maybe because of that, I decided to walk to the bar desk to ask for something else.

I'd decided that I wanted to go home terribly drunk, puking all over the driveway.

As I sat on the last chair I breathed a sigh of relief.

Looked in front of me: three girls were filling goblets with beer.

I sighed again, wishing to could remove that sweather that was making me suffocate from the heat.

I must be a disgusting view, I thouht wiping sweat from my forehead.

<Hey?>

They didn't noticed me.

I turned around, looking for my friends.

<Yes?>

A feminine voice made me turn over through the desk and one of the girls was looking at me waiting for my order.

Long black hair were tight in a ponytale, her eyes were dark and big. Long eyelashes made it the contour.

Her fleshy lips were half-closed.

She was wearing the uniform and I suddently asked myself why the hell, such a beautiful girl was working in such a piggery.

<Uh, a beer.>

My words came out as a whisper as I kept looking at her.

<What?>

She came closer, leaning on the desk and I backed instinctively.

If she would've recognized me I could have said goodbye to everything. Forever.

I imaged Jefferson tearing up the contract in front of my face.

<A b-beer, thanks.>

She turned and started filling my glass with my order.

I noticed how that uniform was higlighting her ass, and it was such a great view.

I swallowed and moved on the chair. The alcohol was able to bring back to life the pervert teenager I tought died decades ago.

<Here. Can I get you something else?>

She gave me the beer without even looking at me, then started washing something in the sink.

<What's your name?>

The alcohol let me be more spontanious, but surely not less embarassing.

She seemed totally blankly by my question.

As she winked her eyes and starred at me I tought that I'd ended my game: she knows me.

<You're drunk.>, she said instead.

Then turned on her right and dissapeared in the back of the room.

I blinked several times, trying to figure out what went wrong: was really that faint-light making me unrecognizable?

I drunk what was in that glass and my throat brurned.

I thought I should have go back to the table, get all my stuff and come back home to get a long sleep.

But something kept me glued on that chair.

<Do you want me to call someone?>

<What?>

I looked at her with my chin down, still not sure if she'd recognized me. I wasn't sure of how that made me feel: was I offended or gratificated?

Shaked my head. <Uh... no.>

Since I was 18 I never had a 'No' and most of all I wasn't never really indifferent. To anyone.

Also for my relationship with Brenda I never really had to fight for her.

 She literally fell into my arms.

<Can't you just tell me what's your name?> I tried again.

She bent her head trying to look at me better, despite the low light. Took a look of my curved body on the desk, then again on my face.

<No.>

Turned over again and restarted working.

Wordless and honestly overtaken by that sense of powerless I went back to my table.

Grabbed my stuff and nodded over Theo, warning him that I was leaving.

While I was going to my car, the sun was rising up on me.

I'd never been so pathetically drunk.
