All of Suna heard the piercing cry of Razu. Kikyo had decided to stay with Gaara, while Itachi, Temari, Karen, and Rin took care of Razu. Rin had been very confused those few weeks ago, and scared. They had quickly explained that no she wasn't dead, and no she wasn't dying. It took several days to explain how she was here.
"I will kill that uchiha." Kikyo laughed.
"You can't do that Gaara-kun. That's my job." they both chuckle.
They were sitting at a table in Gaara's house. Tea was steaming in their hands. "How do you like My village?" Kikyo smiled.
"it's nice."
Gaara wasn't fooled. "You don't like it?"
"I don't not like it. Man, how do I explain it?" Kikyo looked up at the ceiling. "Even in my last life. I liked trees and the forest. I lived on a mountain in my last life, so I like cold mornings. Mornings where you can see your breath form in front of you. And yeah you kind of get that here. But the views in my last life were amazing. Especially on the fourth of july."
"The fourth of july?" Gaara crooked his head to the side.
Kikyo waved her hand in front of her face dismissively. "A holiday in my old country. We celebrated it by sending fireworks into the sky. I always wanted to be the one to send them into the sky." Kikyo got a dreamy look.
"Were there other holidays? Gaara was actually curious about his sister's and Kikyo's old life.
"Well my favorites were april fools, and christmas."
"What were those?"
"April fools was a nation wide prank day! Dattebane!" Gaara chuckled. He had heard of the Uzumaki's love of pranks'
"And the other?"
Kikyo got a sad look on her face. "It was my mum's favorite. I mean my old life's favorite holiday. It was during winter. And every one exchanged gifts with their loved ones. People helped others because they wanted to. You could feel the love in the air." The dreamy look never left her eyes.
Gaara thought about all she said, and made a silent promise. He would try to give Kikyo another Christmas. And if he could one every year of his life. But he didn't stand why he cared about this.
He would talk to his sibling after this night about what he was feeling. All of them were thunder struck by how blind he was to his own romantic feelings.
