a simple encounter

The battle is filled with bloodshed and emotion. Each Avenger takes a turn doing their best to get the infinity stones to Scott's truck, granted that it is the only remaining Quantum tunnel. I quickly hand the gauntlet over to Peter as he shoots through the air, landing on the ground and activating his instant-kill. As I look behind me, I see Wanda, standing there holding Thanos in the air, using all of her pain and all of her anger. The red energy holding Thanos, tearing his armour from his body piece by piece. Before Wanda could finish, Thanos screams out.

"Rain fire!"

"Rain fire!"

After his second demand, the ship above begins to shoot down, not caring who was hit. Everyone begins to hide under the shields that had been summoned. Everyone hides and avoids the explosions that are planting into the ground. Soon the explosions stop. I look up only to see the aim being turned elsewhere. Somewhere up into the sky, shots begin to fire.

"What the hell is that?" Sam yells

A bright shot of light emerges from the sky, blasting through Thanos's ship. Each cannon powers down and the ship breaks off into two parts, plummeting to the ground. Carol drops down to the ground, approaching Peter who was cuddled up on the ground, protecting the gauntlet. Carol groups together with a few others and charges through Thanos's army. Before Carol can reach the Quantum portal, Thanos throws his weapon directly into the portal causing a huge explosion. The portal's explosion pushes Carol and anyone else nearby far back. The gauntlet drops to the ground. My vision finally clears after the explosion and when my eyes clear I see Thanos fighting off Carol as she uses all her strength to keep Thanos from snapping his fingers once more. She's able to push him down to his knees before Thanos pulls the Power stone out of the gauntlet, using it to punch Carol back into a pile of ruins. Thanos groans in pain as he puts the stone back in place, raising his hand in the air once again. Tony quickly runs up, grabbing his hand, holding it until Thanos kicks him to the ground. Thanos raises his hand for the last time, and before he snaps his fingers he looks around him and smiles.

"I am... inevitable," Thanos grins

Thanos snaps his fingers and I close my eyes to prepare for what is about to happen. After a few seconds, I open them again only to see Thanos looking down at his glove in confusion. The stones were no longer there. Thanos looks over at Tony, Tony holds his arm in the air, each stone attaching itself to his fist. My eyes widen as I realize what he is about to do.

"And I... am... Iron Man,"

Tony snaps his fingers and a loud boom fills everyone's ears, echoing even in the empty battlefield. Once I open my eyes again, I see all of Thanos's army fading away, just like all our loved ones did all those years ago. Thanos looks around him in worry as his army falls before him. He sits and takes a deep breath and begins to fade away. As they fade, I look over to Tony who is now taking shallow breaths, proper up against some broken stone. Everyone rushes over to Tony, Rhodes and I get there first. Rhodey crouches down holding the side of Tony's head to comfort him. Peter soon drops in and falls at his knees in front of Tony.

"Mr. Stark? Can you hear me? It's Peter. Hey. We won, Mr. Stark. We won," Peter cries

Peter begins crying uncontrollably and backs away from Tony. I slowly make my way up to Tony crouching beside him, holding his hand in mine.

"Hey... It's me. You did it, Tony. You saved them all. You did so well, your dad would be proud. I hope you know that," I state as tears begin to fall down my face

"You don't have to say it... I'll watch out for Morgan... we all will. I'm gonna miss you. It's gonna be okay, we're gonna be okay," I choke out in tears
