The small cabin where Y/N stayed was absolutely trashed. She'd left for a few hours to hunt for food, and when she came back her possessions were strewn across the floor. Her chests were disorganized too, it was like a bull had come in and wrecked it all.
She wasn't happy about having to clean, but it had to be done. She got even more grumpy when she found her bag of enderpearls, half of them shattered to bits. Enderpearls were fragile, not to mention difficult to acquire. Y/N had spent months just trying to find the sixteen of these, and now she was down to eight. She let out a frustrated groan and went back to cleaning.
Once she'd finally finished cleaning, she saddled up her horse and adorned her armour. Somebody had definitely stolen from her, but before she could figure out who it was she needed to gather back what was taken. That included a stack and a half of ender pearls and four enchanted books, both of which would likely take her hours to find.
Y/N sighed as she set out, taking a bite of an apple before handing the rest to her horse, Toast. She'd always known it was a dumb name, but the horse really did look like a piece of toast. What else was she meant to name the thing? The pair set off towards a nearby village, the best place to gather such rare resources without too much difficulty.
It was usually an empty path to the village. Nobody lived out there, so Y/N could be fairly certain that she wouldn't have any run-ins with strangers. Due to that it was quite the shock for Y/N to see a man walking down the path. His hair was a strange shade and twisted into a braid that hung down past his shoulders. Gripped in his hand was a shimmering netherite axe, slightly dragging on the snow by his feet.
"Hello?" Y/N stopped her horse and looked at the man, curious as to who he was and where he was coming from.
~Techno POV~
Techno was shocked at the sudden female voice. Those in his head went silent as he looked up at the stranger sitting upon a large horse.
"Hello?" She repeated the words, looking slightly more concerned than before. A few more seconds of silence and she'd dismounted her steed, glancing at Techno's axe before returning her gaze to his face.
Don't trust her... She'll hurt you... What if she's a friend?... No friends...
The voices picked up their bickering, snapping Techno back into reality. He looked at the female, raising an eyebrow.
"Can I help you?"
The girl took a startled step back when he spoke. He assumed she thought he would remain quiet.
"You seemed cold, and nobody travels this path. Who are you?"
Don't answer... Keep walking... You could attack her?... Not yet...
Techno shook his head, trying to silence his thoughts. "Why do you need to know who I am?"
The girl held her hands up in a sign of peace. "Just curious, no need to get aggressive."
Techno simply grunted and tightened his hold on his axe. Attack... Kill her... Get away... Techno tuned out the voices and loosened his grip again when he noticed the sudden look of fear in the girls eyes.
"Do you live in the village?"
"No."
"Then where do you live?"
"Wherever I want. I move around a lot."
"Seems lonely. Not that I blame you though."
He just grunted, watching as she re-mounted her horse. He began walking again, not looking up but remaining attentive to her slowly walking her horse beside him. It was obvious that she was slowing her pace to stay near him, though Techno wasn't entirely sure why she was doing this.
