"I... I can do it, father."
"And who's gonna help you? I know we ain't. And nobody on this planet is going to want to help you anyways."
"Somebody will help me, and if they don't, I can do it on my own."
"Hah, sure. Have fun with your little pipe dream."
"I'll... I'll prove you wrong."
I looked up, Aizawa and All Might were staring at me, extreme concern on their faces. The paper I was holding was starting to get wet; droplets continued to fall from my eyes, revealing the source of the wetness.
"Shit-" I wiped my eyes frantically, and tried to dry the paper with my sleeve.
"You okay...?" Aizawa questioned softly.
"Yeah..."
"What the hell did you put in that letter?" He interrogated his coworker.
"Nothing bad! I don't think..." He responded, puzzled.
"No, it was... it was perfect. Thank you." I went up to the tall man and hugged him silently. He hugged me back, patting my back.
"I only wrote the truth." We pulled away, as he flashed me his classic grin.
----
"You ready?" Aizawa called to me from the car. We'd just finished dinner, and were ready to go down to the Exam Commission and hand in my letters. He wore his usual attire, paired with his hair being up.
"Let's go." I climbed into the front seat, clutching the envelope with my letters. I'd already made copies, just in case they 'lost' them, since that was a well-founded worry.
The stars shone brightly on the two of us, and the music softly played through the car, accompanying the journey.
"Glad it's over?" He held my hand, rubbing circles on the back of it.
"Yeah. I can just focus on the exam now. I'm fucking thankful that stupid obstacle is gone now." I rested my head on the window, still staring out.
"I'm sorry they did that to you. Hopefully, once they read that letter from the number 1 hero himself, they'll change the damn rule." He commented. I glanced over at him; the moonlight illuminating his features.
"You're hot, do you know that?" I said without thinking. It was the truth, although.
"Ahem. Um, I- thank you. You also." He stuttered, turning red.
I loved this man.
"Thanks, Shouta." I whispered, grinning ear to ear.
We got to the commission, and stepped out of the car. We parked in a small alley nearby, lit up with street lamps. I continued to grip the envelope as the slightly sharp night air hit my face. Aizawa held the door open for me, following behind to the reception.
"Hi, I'd like to hand these in please." I said to the receptionist.
"Oh! You're that girl... I can't believe you did it..." She trailed off towards the end. I handed her the envelope sheepishly through a slit in the plastic guard she was behind.
"Do you have a pro hero with you? We just need to make sure they're not forged, and verify their legitimacy." She continued. I pointed to the scruffy, non-hero-looking man next to me.
"Pro hero Eraser Head." He said monotonously. She looked him up and down, squinting slightly. I completely understood why she had her reservations about him, to be fair.
