'Sometimes' you're an ass? You wanted to scold him. But you could tell Kid was trying, and he really wasn't so bad of a person.

"Can you try to be nice this week, if you see him?" That earned an amusing pout from the headstrong redhead. "Please? I really want him to relax for a while. He deserves it."

Drooping over with a petulant sigh, Kid gave in. "Fine, fine." Straightening up, he checked his phone for the time and started to walk in the direction of the building his class was in. "Maybe later this week you two could come over and watch a movie with me and Amanda? That's relaxing, right?"

The idea actually wasn't so bad. If it was in the apartments, there was no risk of Doflamingo or any other of Law's countless enemies prowling around.

"That sounds nice, I'll run it by Law and let you know!" Waving to Kid, you turned and headed to class.

Throughout the day you overthought about the movie idea. You weren't sure if Law would be particularly up for it. It was still a debate on whether or not Law actually liked Kid and Amanda, more than just tolerating them. Actually, that debate could go for anyone, like the Straw Hats.

The more you thought about it, the more you considered his body language around certain people. With the Straw Hats, he was always relaxed - even if Luffy liked to tease him. But he did fall asleep on their couch that one time, so if he was comfortable enough to do that, he was comfortable around them. Amanda, he definitely just tolerated her for your sake. Around Kid, however, he grew tense, but you could only hope that he'd see Kid attempting to calm down from his usual antics.

But nothing compared to how he was around you.

When lunchtime came, you excitedly went to a secluded bench in the campus courtyard and carefully took the panda bento box out of your backpack. Inside, you found an array of rice in the shape of a bear, vegetables, fruit, and a little packaged fortune cookie. It surprised you how neat it all looked, considering he probably organized this without much light at all.

The thought of a determined Law shaping rice into a bear was literally the cutest thing.

You promptly ate the lunch he made for you and scrolled through your phone. Kid had sent some suggestions for the movie night, mostly horror films or movies with bad ratings. You were down for whatever and even replied with some recommendations yourself.

Lunch was so delicious, you were almost sad that it was finished. You opened the fortune cookie last and pulled out the little paper, reading your fortune outloud,

"Your ability for accomplishment will follow with success."

You could've sworn you've gotten that exact fortune somewhere. But, this one came from Law, so it was special.

-

After classes you started on your way to work, only to feel a sudden weight crash into your back and sling you around. What the...?!

"(F/n)!!" Amanda's voiced momentarily calmed you, though all the sudden movements started to make you nauseous.

"Yes, yes! It's me!" You wiggled your way free and flailed your arms to regain your balance.

"How are you feeling?! How's Law?!?! I can't wait for you guys to come for movie night this week!"

Mentally, you face-palmed. Whether Kid knew that planting this sort of idea in Amanda's head would excite her so much, you weren't sure. But you had to put your foot down this time.

"We're fine! I still need to talk to Law about that, so I'll let you know if he wants to come," you asserted calmly, not wanting to rope Law into something he didn't sign up for...again.

"Okay!" Amanda replied, to which you sighed in relief.

She walked with you to work, and you were grateful that you didn't have to go alone.

"I still can't believe what happened the other night," Amanda began, "I was so drunk I thought I saw wolves on the patio!"

Choking on your own saliva, you stopped in your tracks. "W-wolves?" Your heart felt like it froze in your chest and your eyes grew wide.

"God, I know...crazy right? They looked so real, though! I started walking up the stairs to see for myself like a dumbass, but that's when Kid came and helped me find shelter with all that fighting going on. I kinda sobered up after that, but man...I don't know what was in those drinks, haha!"

This was one of the few times you thanked the lord for putting just a dash of air-headedness in the making of Amanda. But at the same time, you almost felt guilty with how she was gaslighting herself. You wanted to tell her that she wasn't crazy, but that was a story for another time.

"Yeah, that's wild!" You pitched your voice to try and match her energy, but that only made you choke some more.

Amanda helped you straighten yourself up, laughing at how clumsy you were while just trying to drink water and breathe. Soon after, she left since she and Kid had plans. You waved her off and stepped into work.

Then, your breath hitched when you realized something. Back at the club, Amanda wasn't drunk at all - in fact she was the one who noticed Doflamingo in the first place. Which meant...she did see them. She saw the wolves.
