“The world is falling apart around us, and I’m left with only one choice: to fight through the darkness or surrender to it—because for you, I’d endure every torment just to see another dawn.” — K
■
The sterile glow of the fluorescent light above your cell seems to drain the last vestiges of time, a cruel reminder of your eternal imprisonment.
Each day is a repetition of torment, each moment a new variation of agony, and the idea of escape seems more like a mirage with every passing hour. You grasp the butter knife from your food tray, the cold metal promising an end to your suffering, wishing to see your mother once more and apologize for the life you’ve become ensnared in.
As you teeter on the edge of despair, Namjoon, ever the puppet master, notices your silent plea for release. With a cold efficiency, he signals Claire to bring someone into your room. The moment the door opens, the sight that greets you is like a punch to the gut—K, your beacon of hope, now a broken shell of his former self.
The sight of him, bound and bruised, threatens to shatter what little resolve you have left.
They drag him into your cell, the chains clinking ominously as he stumbles forward, eyes locked onto yours. His gaze is filled with a desperation that mirrors your own. He reaches you, collapsing into your arms, his bandaged hands grasping yours with a fierce urgency.
“Please,” he pleads, voice cracking as he sees the knife in your trembling hand. “Don’t do this. Not like this.”
Tears flow freely between you as he holds you tightly, both of you crying for the lost time and the cruel fate that has bound you together in this nightmare. His lips find yours in a desperate kiss, full of unspoken words and broken promises.
“The end is coming for us,” he whispers against your lips, his voice trembling. “And now I’m trapped between the choice of wanting to die and to keep myself alive just for you.”
He kisses you again, his tears mingling with yours, the kiss a painful reminder of the love that has survived in the midst of despair. As his lips pull away, he makes his ultimatum clear.
“We can end this. We can end this together. And that’s the way it should be.”
The walls of your cell seem to close in, the weight of his words heavy in the silence that follows. The hope you had clung to now feels like a distant dream, overshadowed by the cold reality of your impending end.
The choice between life and death has never felt so final, the end so near.
Is hope already lost and gone in your life or is this the last chance to defy the darkness?

“Take cover!” he shouted, diving behind a thick pillar.
Nicholas grabbed Ni-ki and the sunflower guy, dragging them back to the basement just in time to shield themselves. Time seemed to slow to a crawl as they braced for the inevitable.
