In an Alternate Reality III

Grisha and his sister roamed around the street of Marley. There wasn't a single day where they wouldn't be discriminated simply because of the blood running through them.

Faye, Grisha's sister held on to his hand out of fear, but Grisha made sure she felt protected. They walked up some steps to see what they have been wanting to see. One of the Marlyean airships.

They didn't notice the guards looking at them. There were two guards, and they asked the kids for their permit. But of course, they didn't have one. Eldians were constantly discriminated in Marley even the children. They were all viewed as devils or demons.

One of the guards began giving Grisha a beating while the other took his sister away, but little did Grisha know, that will be the last time he sees her.

The next day, Grisha and his parent received the news that his sister was fed to the hungry dogs and found dead by a riverbank. Of course, the Marlyean Police took no action since it was an Eldian who was killed. This caused Grisha's hate for Marley and its inhabitants to grow. He wanted to change this and make a world where Eldians could live in peace.

*History Time*

"Over 2000 years ago, our ancestor, Ymir Fritz, was granted with the Power of the Titans. Upon her death, Ymir's spirit was split into the Nine Titans. With this power, Eldia was able to defeat the nation of Marley and took full control of all Marlyean territory. Despite this, the Subjects of Ymir viewed all other races as their own and allowed them to live in peace. Eldia's rule over Marley continued for over 1700 years ago until what remained of Marley managed to bring down the Eldian Kingdom from within and it worked. Marley brought seven of the Nine Titans under its control and used their power to win the Great Titan War just 80 years ago. The Eldian King at the time erected three walls on the island of Paradis and he fled there with a great many of his people. Our ancestors were left behind in the Mainland and held them captive so they could take full advantage of the Titan Powers."

"With Marley having full control of the Titan Powers, they began to conquer the lands beyond theirs and forced the Nations of the World into their rule. What Marley wanted was world domination and they achieved it. They have repressed the Nations of the World just how they did to the Eldians of Paradis, but Paradis got the shortest end of the stick. They are afraid of our Power and the day will come where their rule will fall." a voice spoke.

*End of Your History Lesson*

As Grisha grew older, he found himself in a group named the Restorationist. That is the same place where he met his future wife, Dina Fritz, a direct descendant of Ymir the Creator. In the Restorationist, Grisha uncovered the truth of their world. Marley's world dominance to the Eldian propaganda. It was uncovered that Marley was truly hated by the entire world, but the Nations of the World couldn't do anything against a superpower like Marley.

Dina and Grisha fell in love and a year after first meeting, they married and brought a child into this world. That child's name was Zeke.

Grisha wasn't the best at parenting in fact, he horrible at it. He forced his son into to the Marlyean army to inherit one of the Titans and even tried to brainwash his own son into thinking he will be the future for this world. Grisha believed that Zeke will free the world of the Devils of Marley.

Grisha's attempt to brainwashing his son failed. Zeke turned in his parents to the Marlyean Police.

*Time Skip*

Grisha and the rest of Restorationist were transported to Paradis where they will turn them into mindless Titans as a punishment. Their fingers were cut off and their arms and legs were tied up.

The Marlyeans began preparing the Titan Serum. They then injected all of them and pushed them off the wall they were sitting on as they transformed. Grisha was the only one who wasn't injected and was forced to watch the horrors. The cruelty of the Marlyeans; they were treated like animals.

One of the Marlyeans brought forward Dina.

"Oh, this is a woman! If only you weren't a Devil!" Sergeant Gross said.

"Dina!" Grisha said with tears following down his face.

"My darling." She said.

"Why did they bring you here? I told them every last thing I know! This woman is of roya-" Grisha screamed but the man behind him slammed him to the ground.

"Shut your mouth!"

The Marlyean prepared the Titan Serum and began injecting Dina.

"Grisha, I promise no matter what form I take, I swear I'll come find you."

"Well, how romantic. I'm sure you'll make a great Titan couple." Sergeant Gross said then kicked Dina off the wall.

"NO! DINA!"

Grisha was betrayed by his son and his own foolishness. He was forced to leave his family behind and had to witness his wife transform into a Titan. He has lost is all. 

Eren jolted up from his bed with his eyes peeled open. Mikasa was in the cell right across from him and Armin fell asleep while keeping watch on the two.

Eren looked around, shook his head, and then smacked himself across the face to wake himself up.

"What was that? Felt like I just woke up from the longest dream.... No, that was no dream. They were memories from my father... That Titan....It was.... Dina"

Memories began playing once again as Dina's Titan walked away and Grisha was bawling his eyes out. On the other hand, Sergeant Gross found it amusing to torment the Eldians.

"Would you look at that! Your woman has forgotten all about you! I guess she fancies that Grice fellow more now!" He said then began laughing.

"Shut up! It was you! 15 years ago! YOU FED MY 8-YEAR-OLD SISTER TO YOUR DOGS! IT WAS YOU!"

Sergeant Gross looked closer at Grisha. He remembered him far too well.

"I remember you now, son. I will let you go out in a special way. I'm going to turn this one into a 4-meter Titan then the two of you can fight."

"But why? Why do something like that? Do you get some kind of sick pleasure from watching people get eaten alive?"

"Why wouldn't call it pleasure. I just find it interesting. Does that sound a bit crazy to you? Well, the fact is that most people want to see cruelty. Don't get me wrong, I think peace is a wonderful thing, but something about it just seems...lacking. We've pushed death out of sight and mind. That is no way to live; death is always near in nature. And some might think me abnormal for investigating such things, but to them I'd say I face this cruel world head on. And because I bothered to deepen my understanding of death, I can accept it when my time comes. See, It's about education. My boys learned from watching their dogs eat your sister."

Sergeant Gross then injected the last Eldian that was escorted to him and then kicked him off the wall.

"Do you not feel...any remorse?" Grisha asked.

"Well, I guess I get what you mean. If something that horrible were to happen to one of my children, my heart would break no question. You poor Devils. It's a shame you had to be born Eldian. I have no trouble sleeping at night because I'm not really killing humans. If you had restored Eldia, you'd be butchering us Marlyeans right now. Where is your remorse you murderous Devil!?"

"You're lying. You've always lied, but I know that truth. Our founder Ymir helped this continent to prosper. She-"

"Yeah? I've heard it all before. Say, since your history is wonderful, why don't you share it with your friend down there?!"

"NO! YOU CAN'T DO THIS TO ME! I'M A HUMAN BEING!"

"Oh, hear that? Your sister is waiting for you!"

"NOOOOOOOO!"

Sergeant Gross was then pushed off the wall and fell only to be eaten by the Titan below.

"So, is it as interesting as he said it was, Grisha?" the man asked.

"Wait, why did you do that?"

"Because... I'm the Owl"
