Oikawa x Reader

Everything was perfect.

(Y/N) was going to University and studied law to become one day a well paid lawyer. I was making a big name as a volleyball player in the national Argentina volleyball team. The successful settler that came from oversees. Our lives have been pretty awesome and everything was going fine in our lives but one thing kept me awake at night. I wanted to ask (Y/N) to marry me. 

I prepared everything. It took me weeks to plan everything but I was ready. Sure, I was more than nervous to ask them but if they would say no , I will accept that too. So I stood there at the beach , golden sand , warm wind blowing lightly and the last sun rays hit the sparkling ocean water.  I placed lit candles that would lead to a beautiful beach spot were I would ask the question. I stood beneath a pavilion with white cloth that hung around it. Red roses were everywhere around the  pavilion with more candles that it up the place. 

I prayed that they would say yes but at the end of the day that wasn't my decision to make. I texted (Y/N) the spot were they could find me. My heat pounded even harder  as (Y/N) responded to me text , telling me that they would arrive in around five minutes. As time passed I saw them in the distance , moving closer to me by each step. By each step my heart beat even harder and the adrenalin rushed through every part of my body. I got goosebumps as (Y/N) was finally standing right in front of me. 

" Tooru ...what is all of this ?" (Y/N) asked with a confused smile and blushy cheeks. 

They looked lovely as always and the last sun rays of the day made their eyes sparkle even more. The Outfit they wore today looked cute and the red cheeks with the rosy lips , irresistible. I stared at (Y/N) , admiring them one last time before I managed to speak. I was so stunned and my thoughts made my mind foggy. Not in a bad way , more in a fully in love way. 

I chucked nervously , " You ... look so beautiful." I started. 

(Y/N) gave me a sweet smile which I loved so much. I wonder if they know what affect they have on me. Every day , I wake up to that sweet smile , this one small thing that they do always manages to brighten up my day. Any time I would look at that small innocent smile and those eyes that ensured me and gave me so much loved , It just felt like home. I never wanted to leave their side ever again. 

I carefully and slowly took out the dark blue silk box out of my pocket. As I went down onto one knee , I opened the boy , held it with one hand whilst the other held one of (Y/N)'s hand. My handy trembled and so did theirs. Our eyes both became teary as I tried to focus to on my words and what I wanted to say. 

" I know that this is quite early but...you are everything to me. Any day I am not around you , I feel empty. I love being around you , I love spending time with you , I love every small thing about your personality and body. The way you care for me and never leave my side even when I felt so broken and bad... I could never imagine myself with some someone with then you. " I explained. 

" I love you (Y/N)... I want to spend the rest of my life with you... will you marry me ?" I finally ask. 

Tears started running down their face as I looked up to (Y/N). My heart pounded more than ever before and I felt how my cheeks slightly blushed , patiently waiting for an answer. (Y/N)'s face exasperation was shocked  yet as they realised what was going on , they cried. Those tears weren't tears of sadness or pain , they were tears of joy. They were smiling as more tears of pure happiness started rolling down their rosy cheeks. Their hand were trembling as they tried to speak , probably nervous and full of excitement. 

" I -..." (Y/N) started , chuckled, " YES ! OF COURSE !!!" They screamed. 

(Y/N) jumped on top of me as soon as I put the ring onto their ring finger. We hugged , kissed and cried as both of us were so happy to be finally together , engaged. After celebrating a while we stared at the ocean together. (Y/N) leaned onto me while I hugged them from behind , holding a hand while one rested on their hip. I put my head onto their head , resting onto it while watching the sunset. The moment was so peaceful and calming. It felt like a magical moment , just the two of us , alone and (Y/N) being my fiancé. 

I kissed (Y/N) on the head " I love you. " I whispered. 

" I love you too." (Y/N) whispered back.
