Laelmos (Lale-mows): The continent of Laelmos was once a united Empire under the House of Rhaetheon before the year 11,732 when the house fell, and the empire crumbled. Laelmos fractured into four kingdoms, five when Wyneir rose to power in 16,003 under Isolde Cathain's reign, and nothing was ever peaceful since. A curse was put upon the land by Isolde in 16,300, plunging the world forever into winter and never to see the sun again. Laelmos has since remained a divided continent and the Empire's throne has stayed vacant since the fall of Rhaetheon.
Kingdom of Wyneir (Wi-near): A desolate frozen region under the control of the Ice Queen, Isolde Cathain since 16,003. Wyneir houses only valemen and a handful of servants under Isolde's control.
Prominent Cities – Nereus (Isolde's domain), Artalor (the abandoned Emperor's capitol)
Prominent Places – Cave of Souls/Valrog's Lair (the birthplace of the Vale), Mountains of Noeland, Tower of Isol, Peak of Aki
Kingdom of Eyrin (Ey-ren): Eyrin is the pinnacle of sophistication in Laelmos with their vast knowledge, ancient history, and educated scholars, but the ruling House of Cathain has had their troublesome history that has led to the kingdom being solitary in recent years. Eyrin's throne is currently held by Tariel Cathain. Istthir, the old mother tongue of Laelmos, is broadly spoken throughout Eyrin.
Prominent Cities – Kalle (capitol), Lysandria (the border city between Eyrin and Wyneir), Varen
Prominent Places – The Town of Two Rivers (a neutral territory between Eyrin and Krak), The Gilded Woods (runs from Kalle to Lysandria, ending before the mountains of Cathalan)
Kingdom of Krak (Crack): Krak is a military force in Laelmos and is the biggest kingdom next to Wyneir, but their land and number of warrior mages doesn't match the power and history of Eyrin. Krak is ruled by the House of Damari, consisting of King Magnus, King Altair (a Damari by marriage), and Queen Arethusa. Together Magnus and Arethusa have a twin son and daughter, Prince Galen, and Princess Gaiane.
Prominent Cities – Lorge, Merk, Darrose (capitol), Rhiacar, Margos, Aulander, and Cliffefell
Prominent Places – Forest of Madde, The Old King's Road, The White Wall
Ustgard (Uhst-guard): Ruled by the House of Grimwar, whose past is as marred as their ties with Misonte. The house is run by King Torsten and Queen Dagrunn, who together have two daughters Princess Alodia and Princess Torunn. Alodia is Lady of Hrothgar and is married to Prince Cassian's son Atticus.
Prominent cities – Bane (capitol), Hrothgar (a city on the border between Misonte and Ustgard), Nathgar (the city on the border of Wyneir)
