He shot the camera and continued. They still had a lot of job.
They arrived to the cell where Captain Tarkin and the other officers were being held. Melian had a bad feeling about Tarkin but decided to keep it to herself. After all, it's just a feeling, right? She's just a child, nobody's gonna take it seriously anyway. Anakin made a small hole in the door, killing one of the droids. The door opened and Melian jumped in, killing the other droid.
All of them entered the cell, master Piell introducing them to Tarkin.
"Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker and his padawan Melian Viggó" he pointed to them. Tarkin nodded.
"Now that you've found us how do you plan to get us out, it's going to be impossible" he said, already judging their plan.
"What if we split up?" Obi-Wan suggested.
"I think it's better if we stick together. A stronger force would have a bigger chance at protecting the information" Tarkin protested again, but Melian's had enough of him.
"Not in this situation. It would definitely be wiser if we split up. That way the Separatists would, again, have just half of the information, not all" Melian was looking him dead in the eyes.
"She's right. I'll go with Kenobi, you go with Skywalker" Master Piell looked at them. Melian rolled her eyes and let out a sigh, obviously irritated by Tarkin
They were carefully running thru the hallways as Anakin was searching an entrance point for the old tunnels. They came to the place and he began cutting the wall. All others were guarding the sides so nobody sees them.
"Aaand.. we're thru" he said as he finished cutting. Melian went in first to check out the tunnel. As Melian was inspecting the tunnel, Anakin and Tarkin had one of their little arguments.
"Things seem to be going as planned"
"It's when things don't go as planned that worries me" Tarkin looked at Anakin.
"It's when things don't go as planned that we jedi are at our best, trust me." he said with a sharp tone, already full of Tarkin's crap.
"I reserve my trust for those who take action, General Skywalker"
"And I reserve my trust for those who understand gratitude, Captain Tarkin"
"The tunnel is clear master!" Melian yelled when she came back. Fives and Echo took the piece of the wall Anakin cut off and put it back in it's place. They started walking thru the tunnels, having no time to waste. Anakin contacted Artoo letting him know everything is going according to their plan, and to wait them at the pipeline exit after he's picked up Obi-Wan. Melian was talking to Rex, when she suddenly remembered something and chuckled.
"What did you remember? I wanna laugh too" Rex looked at her with a smile.
"Oh, it's nothing special, I just remembered Cody never gave me my backpack back" they both chuckled a little. While they were all walking and talking, Anakin was behind. He jumped off of one of the stones and cut thru a probe."Melian, you lead the group" Anakin caught up to Melian and started going back.
"Wait wait, and where will you be?" she raised an eyebrow.
"Well someone has to protect our flank" and he left with that.
"It really is a good thing I came along, huh?" she asked herself and went to lead the group. She was in front of everyone, leaving Rex and Tarkin to talk.
"I am worried that the jedi have elected this... child... to lead the group" Tarkin looked at Rex, expecting him to agree. Rex wanted to tell him so many things, but he couldn't. Those things weren't so... polite.
"Look, you underestimate her, like all people do. She's amongst the best jedi the Order has. She's a skilled fighter, kind, smart and she wouldn't hesitate to help. Traits a person like you could only wish for. And don't talk about her like she's a five year old kid" Rex was looking him dead in the eyes the whole time he was talking. Tarkin looked surprised, and he would've said something, but Melian interrupted him.
"Oh no. Dead end" they all stood looking at the dead end, wondering what now. While they were thinking, commando droids came from behind them, they had shields. Anakin also arrived and they were all fighting off droids now.
"What happened? Why didn't you blow up the wall? That part of the mission was your part!" Anakin asked Melian.
"I thought it was a dead end"
"If master Plo really assigned you to the team he would've briefed you on the plan!" Melian took Rex's backpack that had explosives in it and went to the wall. She put some of them on the wall and threw some of them at the droids. They all went off at the same time, making a hole in the wall and killing the droids.Melian stood up, trying to get some dust off of her black robes. Anakin walked past her, visibly angry.
"And why are you angry now, hm?"
"I'm angry because you weren't supposed to be here. Master Plo didn't assign you to the mission" Anakin angrily told Melian. She rolled her eyes.
"You knew he didn't assign me the second I stepped out of carbonite, why's it a problem now?" Melian knew she hadn't exactly made her master believe her lie.
"The problem is you're acting like this is yet another mission, like we can get out of this easily. But guess what missy, we can't. It'll be a miracle if we even get of this rock". Melian was surprised, to say the least. Anakin never acted like that, she must've really upset him.
"I-I'm sorry I upset you. I mean if it bothers you that bad I can-" there was so much guilt in her voice and Anakin had to stop her.
"Hey, no, no. Listen I'm sorry I snapped. I didn't really mean it. I'm glad you're here, just be careful" his voice got softer and he relaxed a bit. Melian nodded and he turned around. She also turned around and hugged Rex who was close. This mission was hell, she should've listened to Ahsoka.
