Repeating Steps (A Liam Dunbar fanfiction)

Kira drove me to my house. The rest of the pack was still in school, Kira had said that she was going to go with Lydia and see what was going on with the second third of the list, so I told her to drive me home and see how my Dad was. When we arrived at my house I saw a car at the distance. Something was not right.

"Thanks Kira. Go, I know you're preocupied" She gave me a soft smile and drove away.

I entered to my house, my dad's car was outside, but the house was so silent and dark. Maybe he's on the basement. I made my way downstairs to the basement, I could hear voices. What's going on?

"Christopher?" A female voice asked. "What is our code?" "Say it with me" "We hunt those who hunt us" The same female voice said. "What is our code?" "Remind him, Severo"

"We hunt those who hunt us" A male voice said.

"Say it, Christopher"

"No Dad, don't say it, we have a code, a new Argent code" I said under my breath. 

"Say it for your wife, Victoria" "For your daughter, Allison"

At the mention of Ally's name I couldn't resist it and I opened the door to enter. A woman and a men were stood there and Dad was giving them his back not knowing what to say. I saw him right into his eyes, begging him not to say the old code.

"Say the code" The woman said. "Speak the words" "Say it!" "What is our code?"

I was crying, Dad was looking at me with guilt. I saw how he opened his mouth saying "We hunt those..." He looked at me with his bright eyes about to cry. "Who hunt us" He finished. The woman and men walked out of the basement.

"I'm sorry, baby" My dad said with tears on his face. I run to hug him.

"Why? Why did you say it?" I asked him.

"I can't tell you right now, but you know that I would never broke our code" "I'm sorry" "I really am"

"It's okay, but we have to repeat our code" I said letting go of the hug. He smile at me.

"We ptotect those who cannot ptotect themselves" We said at the same time. I smiled at him giving another hug. "I love you, kiddo" He said.

"I love you Dad"

We walked out of the basement and I made my way to my room. Dad was going to take care of some things.

I was about to call Scott when my phone started to ring, a unknown number was on the screen, doubting I press the green botton.

"Hello?" I asked.

"Bri, is this your number?" A voice on the other side of the phone asked.

"Who is it?"

"Oh, Sorry, it's Liam"

"Hey Liam, what's going on?" "Did you find something?" "How's Brett" "Stiles?" "Something?" "Anything?" I was very worried.

"Hey, hey, calm down, everything's fine" "We didn't find anything and everyone it's okay. The police took Violet but Garret is on the run, Stiles took Brett to the animal clinic I think he'll be fine" "Don't worry"

I took a deep breath "Thanks for letting me know Liam"

"It's not problem. I'll see you tomorrow, rest" And with that he hung up the phone. Wow he really was now part of the pack. And talking about the pack, I need to talk to Scott about telling Lex. With lots of things in my mind, I felt asleep.

School day and I agreed to go running with Liam and Mason. Why? I don't know, maybe I wanted to feel some fresh air or have a little distraction.
