Mary POV
Today was the day after Michiko arrived she was probably the prettiest person I've ever met and I've met a lot of people in my lifetime. This morning I got out of bed without struggle I have a close friend now sure I had Joseph maybe even Antonio but Michiko was different she was the only friend I've had that's a girl at the manor. I run down the long stairs and into the main floor of the manor and sure enough she's sitting there she looks
worried I don't think she sees me.

Michiko POV
Oh no what am I going to do? I have my first match today I know how the matches work but it seems so agitating I bite my nails a bit what do I do. I know I'll win I have to I'll fight as hard as I can anything to win this stupid game I'll get them all just wait! I wonder how it will be all the survivors look talented. Tap tap I hear tapping above the tiny coffee table in front of me "Michiko? Michiiiko Michiko!" I look up quickly "oh mary!" She tilts her head at me "what's wrong?" She said confused. I sigh and take a breath before speaking"I have my first match today I'm kinda nervous if I'm being totally honest with you" I spoke quietly not wanting the other hunters to hear they all look like they're staring at me they all look so different then what I expected so far I only know the names of Antonio the tall guy with the violin Joseph the short blonde guy with a very distinctive walk and greyish blue eyes and of course Mary my friend "first match huh.. it can be quite scary but you'll get through it! If you want we can align our schedules and do duos" she said trying to calm me down it worked a little "duos?..." "that means we play the game together there's more survivors but there's also more ciphers which gives us a little more time to catch them" "oh that sounds much better it'll give me time to get use to the game thank you Mary!" I'm grateful to her. "When does the match start?"She  said She looked at me in my eyes. Her eyes they're pretty even if it's just pure black like mine they remind me of a moth attracted to light. I don't want to look away but I feel uneasy at the same time it's confusing. "Ten minutes" I responded "alright I guess I'll wait" seems like she doesn't like waiting I pick up a book it seemed interesting enough maybe after the "duo" match I'll finish it.

Mary POV
"Ready?" I said looking at Michiko. She looked determined to win this "I think" she responded and just like that the match started. "You go left I'll go right" I say "alright!" She seems determined

Third person
The slightly taller woman Mary headed right after a bit of silent walking she walked up behind Emma the Gardner  she slowly came up behind her. Hit! Mary managed to land a hit on her. Emma quickly ran leaving behind her cipher and running as fast as she could. Mary coming up behind her tried her best to get her as soon as possible as she was close to a chair. Emma attempting to hit Mary with a palette but failing this gave Mary an opportunity to hit her soon enough when she was in range hit!

Mary POV
I quickly chaired her up. To my surprise Michiko already got two people! "She's a natural" I couldn't help but say out loud.

Time skip

"Good job out there darling" I said twirling her hair she blushed a little "thanks mary" she smiled brightly. We won the match with only one person escaping It was the new survivor Emil. Michiko did amazingly for her first time nonetheless even if neither of us got best deduction. I got 15000 not my best in duos but it'll do. We walked into the foyer to find Joseph and Antonio k- kissing?! "HUH" I bursted out "fuck" Antonio moved his chair away from Joseph . Michiko and Joseph just stood there while Antonio left the room. "So.... how'd duos go..?" "More like what were you and Antonio doing""Au revoir!!!" Joseph left the room not looking back. I just stood there confused "good for you!" Michiko called out to Jospeh. I don't think he heard her. "This is so awkward" I say rubbing my neck "maybe it could be less awkward if we made ourselves some tea?" "Sounds good" I respond we head towards the old kitchen and  turn on the rusted out kettle and made  ourselves some jasmine tea it tastes fine it's the only kind we have I've been drinking it forever and it never tastes any better. I hand the cup to Michiko. "Don't burn your mouth" I warn her "I won't" she assures after we finish at about five we start to go our separate ways. "See you" I say waving "goodbye Mary!"
I enter my roof and flop into bed even though it's pretty early my entire body feels tired I couldn't stop thinking about Joseph and Antonio. Why were they doing this? For how long? And why would Joseph keep something like this from me? Are we as close as I think we are? And Antonio and Joseph are both male? Is that even aloud? I let out a tired groan and soon enough I fall asleep.
