Also Luxsoka shippers just stop right there and skip along ahead bc we're in no way treating Lux nicely, soooo... Sowwy

Enjoy :)

It was over.

She had to keep reminding herself of that. It was over, she escaped alive, even brought Lux's sorry-not-sorry shebs out alive, everything worked out.

A permanent chill seemed to seep into her bones despite her self-pep-talks, reminding her of that horrid experience no matter how many layers she wore or hot showers she took. There was a constant unease, whether she was trying to sleep or walking through the halls, being alone was an unpleasant experience. And no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't get the feeling of Lux's lips on hers out of her head. Stuck there like the way your clothes clung to you after dipping in a lake on a summer day.

With a few details left out of the mission report Anakin had been content- although still protective- and let her live the whole experience down, especially after sensing how hesitant she was about the whole thing. He had acted if it never happened, dropping the subject completely in the hopes that it would leave Ahsoka's own mind too. No such thing was granted. That was how Ahsoka found herself awake far too early in the morning, sun not up, not even the early birds dared disturb their slumber at this hour. She decided a jog around the halls might tire her out enough to catch some sleep.

Barely breaking a sweat and no less tired out, Ahsoka had hoped to creep back into her shared quarters with Anakin as quietly as possible. That could have been accomplished, had Obi-Wan not interrupted her a few steps before the door, dressed in normal robes, unlike her who was still in leggings and a sports bra.

His voice caught her off guard, causing her to spin on her heels to confront him. "What are you doing awake, little one?"

Ahsoka tried her best to keep her face normal. "Master, did I wake you?" She asked, Obi-Wan's quarters being only a few doors down.

"No, and you didn't answer the question," He prodded, a limp smile still on his face, as if catching her in the act of, well, something.

She quickly came up with a believable lie. "Well I woke up early, figured I could use a jog." He hummed in an unconvinced manner, raising an eyebrow if to say, 'You want to tell me the real story?' Sighing, Ahsoka leaned against the doorway, slightly more conscious of the fact that she was standing in front of her grandmaster half dressed. She wrapped an arm around her torso as inconspicuously as possible as she spoke. "Couldn't sleep, thought a run might tire me out."

He nodded. "Did it work?"

"Not particularly."

Obi-Wan nodded towards the halls. "Then walk with me." Hesitantly, she agreed and followed, an arm still wrapped protectively around her waist both out of general unease and from the chill still settled in her bones. "Cold?" He asked, shrugging off his outer tunic when she nodded.

"Thanks."

"Of course." Their interactions were all rather short lived. Concise, to the point, and awkward as if they both knew something they couldn't make themselves talk about. Although it was likely only awkward for Ahsoka, Obi-Wan having mastered the art of making people talk and staying silent so they could make themselves spill. When this didn't work, he took the situation into his own hands. "What's troubling you?"

Ahsoka looked up towards him, debating whether to tell another lie or not. He'd probably back off if she didn't say anything, but something gave her the sense that if she were to tell anyone, it'd be Master Kenobi. She settled with, "It's a long story," Which gave her room to deny or confirm.

"We have time," He coaxed.

Ahsoka debated her options. Talk to her grandmaster about some dumb kiss that's been making her loose her mind, or suck it up and continue trying to forget about it all. "You read the mission report, from Carlac?" He nodded. "Lux and I... We had to pretend to be betrothed so that I could come save his butt again." He chuckled at that, turning serious quickly after remembering the part about being betrothed. "He kissed me, to keep our cover."

Obi-Wan's force presence sparked with something she couldn't identify, likely anger or concern, before returning to his normal calm ocean of emotions. "Continue," he said with some level of sympathy as he put a hand on her shoulder.

Ahsoka continued curling in on herself despite the robe still wrapped around her torso. "It was a dumb kiss, I know that. But I didn't want to kiss him. The Death Watch were coming and he had to make me stop talking. He could have done anything else, he could have put a hand over my mouth, he could have said something, he could have slapped me and I would have gotten over it." Ahsoka continued to look off into the distance where she could see the faint traces of sun coming up over the horizon through a temple window. "I just can't get over what he did. I know I should, I mean I'll probably never see him again anyway, but it's just the fact that out of all the things he could have done to shut me up he kissed me." At this point in the conversation her voice had cracked once or twice, Ahsoka begging herself not to cry in front of her grandmaster. It worked, but it didn't feel good.

Obi-Wan stopped her in the middle of the hallway, his force signature still rippling with various emotions she didn't bother trying to trace. "It's not dumb, Ahsoka. You have every right to feel violated and he shouldn't have done it." He steadied her, hands gently placed on her arms as they spoke in soft voices to avoid waking anybody. "It's okay that you haven't healed from that."

For the first time since they started walking, Ahsoka dared look at his face, it showing only the purest sympathies and love. Seeing the tears welling in her eyes, Obi-Wan continued walking with one arm wrapped around her shoulders, pulling her a little closer to him. "Really?" She asked, the doubt evident in her voice.

"I promise."

Their conversation quieting down, Ahsoka began again. "Not exactly how I expected my first kiss to be," She joked.

Obi-Wan chuckled. "I suppose not."

As they circled back to Anakin and Ahsoka's quarters, no one spoke. Not until they were standing at the door. Finally building up some courage Ahsoka said her goodbye. "Thank you, Master. For letting me talk." He nodded with a small smile. Realizing she still had his robes she quickly began stripping herself of them. "Oh, and for the robes," She finished with a small laugh.

Obi-Wan took them with open arms. "Of course. I'll always be here."
