Eyes unfocused, a dark smirk curling on her face, bloody knuckles and red locks untamed flying widely with each step she'd take as the men cornered her in the ring.

She was in her element.

She didn't know many things... she knew that some people called her by Ares, she knew that she was always angry and could snap at any moment and she knew that fighting brought some kind of peace to her.

It had been few months since she had stormed out of the weird place and the signs of destruction could be observed anywhere she went, making the red haired woman conclude that a war had happened not long ago.

Ares had managed to barge into an abandoned house and she had been living there since then, not really knowing what she was good at or where she previously worked since this seemed to be the only way for a person to gain money.

For some reason still unknown for her, she didn't feel hungry nor tired as often as she was supposed to, at least that was her conclusion after long hours by day observing humans.

She did know that wherever she went a fight would break down, it would only take a spark of irritation coming from the ginger and the whole place would turn in chaos.

That was actually how Ares, and another person, found out that she was pretty good in a fight.

It wasn't everyday that a 5 ft 3" woman would take down 7 men that were double her height with little difficulty.

Joe, the bar owner, who just so happened to be the owner of an illegal fighting club too was there to witness the scene and his hunger for her power was pretty much clear to anyone.

Ares didn't know how she knew this, but something about the man just reminded her of something... something that she wasn't completely sure about.

While she wasn't that keen on following him, Joe did promise her many people to be used as her punching bags and the proposition was just too tempting for the goddess to refuse.

That's how she got to her current situation, beating the shit out of a dude that looked like a damn wall compared to her smaller stature.

For some reason, he wasn't as weak as the other humans she had fought before, his movements were way too fast for a normal person and he was stronger as well.

Barely managing to wrap her fingers around his T-shirt, Ares brought his body forward in a swift movement, making the giant cover his head in order to protect it from her, only for her attack to change in the last moment as she brought her knee up, striking his groin.

His hands flew down to his wounded area with a growl of pain and the ginger quickly used the moment of distraction to bring a hand to his hair in a fist before she brought it forcefully down, making his head colic against her knee.

His eyes watered due to his broken nose, blood flowing down on his chin before she noticed the bones being replaced on their right place.

Giving a quick side look to the stands where Joe was watching her, her emerald green eyes immediately noticed his signal and with a hard kick on the head, the man was knocked out.

The others cheered as his big body fell back, the sound of his muscles meeting the ground could still be heard, even with the cheers around.

A bottle of water was thrown her way and the ginger took a moment to relax her body, ready to leave since he was her last opponent, only for a female to jump into the ring.

"Are you up for another fight? If you think that was actually a fight of course" turning to look at the stranger that was brave enough to challenge her.

The beautiful woman stood there with a lazy smirk, arms crossed in front of her chest as she waited for Ares' answer.

"Tsk, didn't take 3 minutes for me to finish him" The ginger answered smugly, throwing away the bottle as she walked closer to the brunette.

"I bet I can take you" Eris teased as she walked in circles with Ares, making the warrior laugh loudly as she opened her arms in invitation.

Looking over at Joe, who was giving her an inquisitive look, Ares simply smirked looked back up and down at the dark haired beauty and shouted.

"Give me 7 minutes and I'll have her eaten dirt"

As the words left her mouth, her eyes subconsciously changed to those dark red orbs, making Eris' eyes water before she recomposed herself and threw a wink at her best friend and the person she loved the most in the world.

"You're on, queen!"

"Queen, huh? I'm calling you Ace then, shall we start?"

For the first time since the war, the goddesses were truly happy, fighting as if there was no tomorrow and nothing else mattered.

Their fight was so synchronized that they weren't able to wound one another for a very long period, making everyone leave as the lack of blood was the only thing those people were looking for on those kind of fights.

As the night ended, those two kindred spirits were once again reunited, Eris wouldn't pressure Ares, but there was no way she would be far from her queen if said queen allowed her to stay.

Ares was now her Dory, a little memory problem, a little lost and on the wrong path, but they would soon find their way back home.

She would make sure of this.

"7 minutes, huh? It's been more like 7 hours" Eris muttered with a giggle as they laid on the dirty ground, looking at the ginger from the corner of her eyes as she saw the smile forming on her lips as well.

"You're good, I'll give you that... but I'm better" Ares replied with a smirk, making her new old friend grin widely at her before she sat back.

"I'm Eris! Wanna hang out?"

"Sure! I'm... I'm Ares I think"

 I'm Ares I think"
