Chapter 5

Mikasa and Armin both narrowed their eyes a little bit and tried to process what Eren's thought process was in doing that.

"Ok um anyways did you have a plan on when and/or how you were going to tell her that you like her?" Mikasa asked.

"No I knew that eventually it would come out but I hadn't considered telling her so soon. But she said something that made me feel some type of urgency and I needed to get it off my chest. It was really fucking scary though." Eren laughed.

"I wanna know details of what led up to it and how he asked." Mikasa said as she looked at you.

"What is this an intervention?" Eren asked with his eyes wide open with slight concern on his face but in a joking way, which made you laugh.

"I wanna know!" Mikasa yelled at him with a smile.

You laughed again and then began to explain before Mikasa went crazy from the lack of details. "Well basically on Friday- the night before- Eren came over at 2am because he couldn't sleep and I also couldn't sleep so we tried sleeping in the same bed. It's not like that's super unusual though. But this time Eren seemed closer. After we laid there for a minute he said he still couldn't sleep and I joked with him about something and then he just kinda kissed me-"

You were quickly interrupted by Mikasa slapping her hand on her mouth and opening her eyes wide open and turning to Eren.

"IT WILL MAKE SENSE KEEP LISTENING!" Eren started laughing and yelling at Mikasa.

"It was just a small kiss." you said in an attempt to tame Mikasa.

"On the lips?" Armin laughed.

You took a deep breath before responding because you knew that your answer would only cause more chaos. "Yes. On the lips. OKAY MOVING ON. So then we just went to sleep and he left the next morning. Then he came back to hang out later in the day once my family was gone. We decided to go somewhere for dinner and that's when he made the reservations and then we got ready and went that night. Nothing important to the dating thing happened there but it was fun. Okay now here's where it picks up. So we got back to my house and we changed and sat down on my bed. Important fact- the lights were all off except my leds and they were dim blue. It made things a lot better. Anyways I asked him what would happen if either of us started dating someone and we both secretly didn't like that thought. Then Eren said that he never wanted to be this close with anyone else except for me and that he had feelings for me-"

You were interrupted again by Mikasa and Armin covering their mouths and chaotically looking at Eren, to which Eren just rolled his eyes in embarrassment.

"GUYS! Listen." you laughed as you continued. "Then I said that I felt the same way and then we decided to start dating. There. Happy?" you said while shrugging your shoulders and cocking your head to the side.

"That's it? Nothing else?" Mikasa asked.

"Nope. Are you not satisfied with the story or something?" Eren asked as he raised his eyebrows.

"No kiss?" Mikasa asked.

"A little. There. Now are you satisfied?" you laughed.

"You're sure nothing else happened?" she asked again.

"Oh my God no." Eren responded.

"Nothing else happened Mikasa." you said while motioning your hands for her to calm down.

"Then how'd you get hickeys on your neck and chest?" Mikasa quietly asked, clearly afraid that she would get yelled at again.

"MIKASA-" Armin yelled as he tried to cover his smile.

"What? When did you see hickeys on me?" you asked.

"The other day when I stopped by for a second to congratulate your brother for winning his tournament." she calmly said.

You felt your face get hot from embarrassment and you looked over at Eren who had his head thrown back, staring at the night sky.

"Okay. Sure. Whatever." you said as you closed your eyes.

"It's not like it's a big deal anyways. It's normal. Moving on." Armin said trying to lighten things up.

"Anyways I'm just happy that you guys haven't been acting weird since you got together. Nobody in our friend group- including Jean, Connie, and Sasha has ever dated someone else in the group and I was a little worried that it would make things awkward. But I'm glad it's not. And to be honest I think we all expected you two to get together at some point. I'm happy for you." Mikasa said.

"Thanks. And that night we agreed to not act much different from normal. We didn't want things to change." you said, glad that things had quieted down since your story.
