❝IF YOU'D EVER SAY "GOODBYE"

IF I DIDN'T SAY IT FIRST❞

CHARLIE PUTH, KISS ME BEFORE I FUCKING LOSE MY MIND

Having moments alone in Titans Tower was a very rare occasion; something Lorelei soon found out to be true. With five people living under one roof, four of which being younger, everyone was naturally in each other's space. That is exactly why Lorelei was basking in her current moment alone.

With Garfield and Rachel out doing whatever and Dick getting groceries, Lorelei was in company with herself. She hadn't seen Jason in a while, no doubt because she avoided him like the plague minus mealtimes, so the young mage could only assume he was also out. Or just busy and not wanting to bother anyone.

Either way, Lorelei was back in isolation.

It had felt like an eternity since the young mage was in her isolation days. Before the Trigon showdown and her days in Wayne manor, Jason was always around. Her moments alone barely lasted an hour if Jason were awake and she was not running. Before then, she was on the road with her friends.

She needed this, to breathe in her own company for a few passing hours.

Admittedly, it was weird having a meal, her lunch, in silence. Though welcomed, the young mage couldn't help but wonder how she lived like this, day in and day out. Though the true confusion came from when she had gotten so used to the noise that silence became odd than a comfort.

Her turkey sandwich - which was very appetising, for the record - was her only company, a welcomed company for who knew how long it would be before she got her own moments where there was no noise in the Tower. For once, the Tower stood still. Almost frozen in time.

She was enjoying it, too. Her every move felt amplified as they drew around the nearby distance but it was not completely foreign. The memory of her days alone tied within the Gotham safehouse felt distant but they were still floating around her mind.

It was faint, nothing but a split second, and it most definitely could have been a fragment of her imagination. Something caught her eye within her peripheral vision as she took a bite from one half of her sandwich. Typically, seeing something that wasn't there from the corner of her eyes wouldn't be enough to spook Lorelei out.

But it was him and that was enough to raise the hair on her skin.

A movement from behind perks her ears. Albeit the shuffling came from the opposite side from where she saw her Archmage but she couldn't outrule the possibility that he was here. How could she? If he was astral projecting teleportation was very much possible.

Her worries came quickly to rest as Jason came into the room, his feet shuffling against the floor. "Oh, it's just you." Lorelei breathed with her instant relief. It was just Jason. Her tensed shoulders slumped down, the young mage continuing to eat her sandwich.

"Ouch, babe, I'm wounded." The young Robin said, sitting next to Lorelei with a quick grab on the other half of her sandwich. Though she was avoiding him, his company was far better than her Archmage.

"Can't get your own?" She asked, her free hand motioning to the sandwich he had taken from her plate.

Alone time over, it seemed.

The young mage kept her face on the empty plate resting between herself and Jason. As per usual, Lorelei was avoiding simply looking at Jason. If she didn't, memories of Trigon's alternative universe would flash and she had to avoid that. All she could do was avoid thinking about it.
