Mikey Way x Reader Oneshots

I woke up to the sound of my older brother Frank yelling at me to get up. I groaned and sat up, and reached on my nightstand for my glasses. Today was my first day of high school. Frank started high school last year, so he gave me the run-through as we walked to school. We walked through the front door and immediately were hugged. Frank's best friend Gerard was standing there grinning with his other friend Ray standing by his side. I looked around and frowned. I was really hoping to see Mikey. Mikey was Gerard's younger brother, and whenever Gerard came to our place, Mikey would tag along, and I'd always go with Frank when he went to the Way's place. Gerard noticed me looking around and laughed.

"He'll be here soon buddy," he said. Just then Mikey rounded the corner followed by a girl. He looked miserable but she looked so happy to be by his side. I could understand why. Mikey was smart, funny, kind, and he always knew what to say when you were upset. I was very confused as to why he looked so unhappy until I heard her say it.

"Come on baby, we should get to class. You don't talk to them anyway!" She then grabbed his hand and tried dragging him away. We locked eyes and he looked at me helplessly. I knew this was a bad idea, but I needed to save him. I walked up to him and hugged him. I smiled at him cheesily and said, "Oh Mikey, I missed you so much! Come on sweetheart, let's get to the group before they wonder where you are!" I gently pulled on his hand and he happily went with me while the girl was fuming. I whispered, "She's gonna get mad, but pretend we're dating." He nodded and put his arm around my waist. We heard her scream, "IT'S OVER!" as we walked away and we just laughed. When we arrived at the group he stood behind me and hugged me with his arms around my shoulders, his head resting on mine. The group looked at us weirdly and I explained what had happened.

We all started walking to class and Mikey walked me all the way to my first hour, explaining that his class was across the hall from mine. We hugged and then went to class. After first hour we compared schedules and noticed, because I had advanced classes, we had 3 classes together, and the rest were all close. I smiled as he slipped his hand in mine. We kept up the act of fake dating all day. After school, we were all going to Ray's place for the annual barbeque that his family always hosted. I just joined the group two years ago, but the rest had been friends for a while since we all lived on the same block. Gerard and Mikey had always been close and did everything together. Ray lived across the street from the Way's, and we lived down the road from them.

I was friends with a different group for a little bit, but when Patrick moved away, Pete got moody and became a loner, and Joe and Andy found new friends. I didn't like their new friends, so I became a loner myself. Pete and I still talked, but he soon joined a gang of bullies who thought I was too wimpy to join them, so I just started following Frank around. The group quickly accepted me, and they treated me like I had always been there. It took a minute to get Mikey warmed up to me, but even he came around and started treating me like his brother as he did with the rest of the boys.

Since I was the youngest boy, I didn't get to have a say in activities, but still got to participate in them. The rule in our group was you had to be 15 to make choices, so at first, it was Gerard choosing everything, then Ray quickly joined him, followed by Mikey and then Frank, and I'll be able to make choices this summer. We arrived at Ray's and could already smell food. Being the respectful person I am, I asked Mrs. Toro if she would like some help. Normally when I "helped" her, I just told her about my day and taste-tested everything. Today Mikey dragged me aside before I could ask if I could help.

"(Y/N), I really liked pretending to be your boyfriend today. Will you actually let me be your boyfriend?" he asked cautiously. I hugged him and said yes. Mikey helped me and Mrs. Toro with food, and we all gushed about how cute Mikey and I were together.
