"Finally i can get out of this place!" You said to the phone pressed to your right ear, holding it up with your shoulder as you made sure that your hospital bed was made and that everything was clean.
"oh are you going to go back home ?" your best friend Mikasa said on the other side of the telephone, her tone, worried.
"mhh... probably until i can find an appartement to go live in...maybe even change towns..you know.. for a change." you replied non-chalantly and almost in a humm.
"(y/n) you really should not go back to the house... i dont think its a good idea.." Mikasa said with her voice laced with concern.
"Oh come on mikasa! im sure they wont attack the same place twice....right?" you said, almost doubting your own words as you started walking down the long hallways of the hospital "anyway, im going to hang up now, im going through the elevator which wont have reception, i'll call you when i get home!" you said, hanging up before she could even retaliate, sighing to yourself as you stood in the now moving elevator.
"she worries to much.....i'll be fine..............probably..." you thought to yourself as you slowly made your way to the taxi that would bring you home.
--small time skip--
Opening the taxi door, you ushered money to the driver before getting up and looking at your house, gulping as you now felt unsure of your previous statement, looking at the now fallen caution tapes at the gate, your face now scrunching in discomfort.
Slowly you trailed your foot on the floor, pushing the tape to the side and out of view, your head raising as you could hear voices whispering behind you.
"look its her..." said one voice
"poor girl.." said the other
"look at her..." said another
Slowly, you shoved your headphones on, putting your favorite song on as you sighed, "here goes the ranting and rumours" you told yourself as eyes shifted to you and the house, back and forth like you were some kind of side show.
little did you know, a pair of eyes were gawking at you.
