Toko was sitting with her head resting on Byakuya's lap.
She was relaxed and happy.
She hadn't been happy for a long time.
Or at least not that kind of happiness.
Of course, she was also happy when she chased Byakuya through the corridors and saw his amused smile.
She was happy even when she saw him for the first time of the day, but it was a different kind of happiness.
Toko had lost the will to be happy over the years.
she was in fact almost afraid to smile and laugh.
She did not know why or rather she could not explain it in words.
But when, for example, she felt happy seeing Byakuya in the morning, immediately after a feeling of sadness enveloped her like a silk fabric that slowly tightened and then Toko thought ...
What if it's the last time I see him?
At the end of the day I have to say goodbye and wait the whole night to see him again...
But now Toko knew she could be happy.
She was there, it was her moment.
Sitting, watching a movie on the couch with that guy she never expected to even touch or have a real conversation with.
Byakuya also seemed happy and ran his hands through the girl's hair, untangling them from the two large braids just untied.
Toko looked up and smiled at the boy who looked away and blushed slightly as he met the girl's eyes.
Toko moved her hand to Byakuya's cheek, forcing him to look towards her.
They looked into each other's eyes and Toko smiled.
A smile full of sweetness but also of a thousand other shades of feelings.
That soft fabric was slowly choking her again.
What if that's not enough?
What if it's all wrong?
At the same time she was happy.
She had tears in her eyes.
Byakuya narrowed his eyes and nodded his head, to tell her ,in his own way, to don't worry.
Toko got rid of the tissue that was choking her and smiled, wiping a tear that had slipped down her cheek.
She knew perfectly well that Byakuya showed his love like this: with small gestures.
And she was happy with that.
She was grateful to have that boy, perfect in her eyes, there with her.
At the same time Byakuya had learned to understand every little girl's behavior.
He knew that this action corresponded to that particular thought.
And that was all Toko needed:
A person who really understood her.
Toko felt an annoying tickle in her nose.
Her pupils narrowed and she whimpered as she realized what was about to happen.
She pushed Byakuya to protect him from the monster she was about to free even if she did not want to leave that demon, that from time to time possessed of her, everything she had created up to now.
The moment, the emotions, the bond and everything that was happening with that boy.
Byakuya sighed and smiled at Toko to let her know that she didn't have to worry and that he would get away with it.
Toko sneezed and looked down.
When her eyes returned to Byakuya, Toko was gone.
At least the body and features were hers, but Toko's soul was gone who knows where, leaving Byakuya an exuberant and eccentric girl, far from calm and sweet like Toko.
Again, as I said in the description this story is about a ship that I like and I hope you are only reading it if you like it too.
If, on the other hand, you have read only out of curiosity and you are not convinced of the ship, please do not judge it and be kind.
Having said that, I'm sorry if I can't write but I still hope someone likes it.
