"Hey Dawn," squeaked a timid voice and the older she-cat opened her eyes, blinking until she could make out the shape of Angel's small grey figure.

"Hmm?" the calico cat murmured, "What is it Angel?"

"Umm," hesitated the kit, "Inky and me... we were wondering if...if you could tell us about your Clan and... umm... what it was like being a warrior?" Dawn blinked a couple of times before standing up and stretching. She looked out at the farm and saw that it was almost sunset, the she-cat didn't know she had slept for so long.

"Well?" came a not-so-hushed whisper from behind a hale bay near Angel, "What did she say?" Dawn smiled at hearing Inky, it was just like the little black kit to send her sister to go ask the question.

"Okay," mewed Dawn, "I will tell you." Inky let out a happy squeak and came scrambling out of the hay bale, her tiny paws sliding on the wooden floor. The black whirlwind crashed into her sister and the two kits tumbled into the older she-cats paws. Eventually, they both calmed down and sat attentively (Inky more so than Angel) and waited for Dawn to start her story. The former apprentice didn't know where to start, there was so much that the kits didn't know about in the forest.

"Well," began the calico she-cat, "to start there are 4 clans, SpringClan, AutumnClan, SummerClan and WinterClan..."

The sky was dark by the time that Dawn finished her story, and the two kits had stayed awake the whole time somehow, their curious eyes and alert faces never fading. She had told them about the four Clans, StarClan, territories, battles and patrols, roles in the Clans and about each member in her Clan. Quite a few times she wondered if this was what it was like to have an apprentice, was this how Whiskerstar felt about her?

Bandit and Bingo had gone out to hunt and by the time the older she-cat had finished explaining everything, they were back with a rabbit and three sparrows. Along with four mice, every barn cat had a full stomach and everyone, except Inky, were tired. Dawn and the other barn cats curled up in the hay (which was still not a comfortable as moss) but yet again, it took forever for the she-cat to fall asleep.

At about midnight, the former apprentice stood up and walked to the entrance of the barn. She gazed up at the half moon and let the cool breeze float over her. Again, she couldn't stop thinking about her Clan and what they could possibly be doing. Would Flowerstem have had her kits yet? How would Windpaw and Emberpaw be going in their training? Would Moonflower and Stagleap be missing her? But there was just one main question that she just wanted answered. Would there still be a place for her in the Clan?
