"You can't rewrite your past, but you can write out your future."

My breath hitched at the sight of the screaming and crying child in the grasp of my past lover, and tears gathered in my eyes as I took a small step forward, a sinister grin growing across Quackity's face. "Just one more child sacrifice, my dear. Or at least, something that relates to a child, darling. Sadly, the big old lug in the hallway didn't cut it."

"You... How did you get a hold of Fundy?!"

"Oh this little thing?" He smugly teased with a taunting voice as he moved the child around like a ragdoll causing the poor thing to cry out in pain, "I found him lurking around a nearby corner as he followed the others around, he was just begging to be found."

A tense silence filled the room, the roar of the flames behind Quackity was the only thing that filled the eerie silence that chilled my bones to the very core. Goosebumps ran across my body as Alex began to let out a small chuckle that slowly melted into an insane cackle. Throwing his head black, he let the laughter free, as if it was a negative entity escaping its vessel.

Suddenly, he whipped his head back up, and stared at me directly in the eyes, a wide grin upon his face. His features were slightly darkened from the fire roaring behind him, and there seemed to be a horned shadow looming far above the man.

"Please, Alex, don't do this-" I whispered softly as he tilted his head to the side, "Or what? Once this is all over I can have you to myself, and we'll be happy again, isn't that what you want?"

"No." I breathed out, causing an irritated scowl to graze across his features. "No? No?!" He roared as he slammed Fundy down onto the ground in a fit of rage before lifting him back up.

"After everything I've done for you! You tell me no!" He yells as his grip tightens onto the sobbing and screaming child.

"M-Mommy!" Screamed Fundy as he reached out to me, his eyes bleared and his tear stained face twisted in pain as Quackity lifted the child up with one hand, and reached into his pocket with another.

Slowly drawing his hand away from his pocket, he revealed a knife and my heart stopped. I looked up to Techno with a terrified look, but he wouldn't meet my gaze as he stared forward at Quackity.

"You'll see." Quackity glared towards the group, his eyes narrowed and a snarl curling onto his face, "It was meant to be."

It felt as if time had slowed as he brought the knife up high in the air. And without knowing it, I was running towards the sobbing and screaming Fundy. All I could hear was my heartbeat, and my own breathing as I gained nearer.

I reached out, I was so close, and finally, I grabbed a tight hold of Fundy, and held him in a tight hug. Like any mother would. I had to keep him safe. I had to keep my child safe.

"Mommy!"
"Y/n!"

And that's when the knife stabbed through my chest.
