The Broken Loop

A/N: Again, sorry if anything seems rushed, enjoy the longer chapter, though!

POV: Third Person, Henry, Linda, and Boris

They appeared in the ink lake, it was sticky and cold. Henry was the first one onto the dock, he pulled Linda up and then Boris.

"Wally requests that you don't take us to the lake next time," Buddy said as the wolf's head nodded, shaking his leg over the lake, flicking the ink off of it.

"Sorry." Henry replied as he walked over to the closed gate, they were in the Lost One's village.
"It's chained shut."

"Shouldn't be too difficult to open, looks like it's just as old as the rest of this place." Linda commented as she found a plank of wood, she picked it up, walking over to her husband.

"Not sure how that- . ."

Linda cut Henry off as she slammed the wood right where the chain meets lock, which broke the chain off, causing the gate to open, she smirked at Henry's somewhat confused expression.

"Well, down we go." He finished as he walked over to the gaping hole, the only way across being planks.

"Be careful." Linda tells him as Boris finally walked over.

"Not the first time I've fallen." He said, turning to look at her before walking backwards off the edge, the angel and the wolf both ran over.

"Henry?!" Buddy calls down, the wolf visibly worried.

"I'm good!"

Linda sighed with relief before calling down to him.
"We are going to find a rope! Start working on draining the hallway!"

"One of the houses?" Buddy asks, looking at her.

"Maybe."

A few minutes pass, Wally found a rope inside of a barrel, which was not in a house.
"We found one!"

Linda rushed out of the house she was searching and to the massive hole behind the gate, Wally started to secure the rope on a support beam, making mental note of the increased shaking, they were definitely running out of time.

"There." Buddy said as Linda dropped the other end down and started to climb, not worried about getting any rope burns.

Wally waited, listening to the studio as it creeks. Both souls were increasingly getting worried about what's happening.

Will Henry's plan even work? Wally asked.

Plan to free us? Yeah, I'm positive.

No, not the plan to free us, the plan to free the children.

What do you mean?

He wouldn't have a body.

"You guys can come down now!" Linda called, cutting off a reply.

Wally grabbed the rope with his gloved hands and started to slide down, occasionally slowing down so that they won't go too fast, when they reached the bottom, he swung on the rope, landing on the raised platform out of the ink.
