He let out a sigh and looked at the leaders as they were getting ready. He licked his lips then bit the top to control his emotions that were sure to get him in trouble with Ella, but he had to get it out of his chest before it ate him alive.
"That night you left...You got inside my head like it was nothing." He said lowering his voice as he looked down at her and she stared up into his eyes. "Do you know how terrifying it is to not have any control of your mind? First Jeanine and now you?" He questioned.
She stood there staring not saying word. How could she? She couldn't find the right words to comfort him and all she could do was stare. "Did you even think to ask me how I felt about that?" He added as he lightly grabbed her arm, she inhaled deeply and swallowed. "You keep using your powers on people like it's nothing and I see it." He pointed out and she looked at him confused with furrowed brows. "What are you even talking about?"
"You're going down a path I can't follow, Ella." He whispered and let her arm go. "Wait, Eric." She began, but he turned to leave and the corner of her lip twitched.
"Eric." She called again as she went after him. "Eric!" She raised her voice as they walked away from the crowd to the outside. "Please, just give me some space, Ella." He responded without looking at her and she scoffed. "You're acting like a child, Eric. Just talk to me." She retorted still going after him and he shook his head as they went through the tunnel.
"Eric!" She called again. "Give me some space!" He said in the same tone as her, she flinched as she stopped walking and he kept moving.
Before she even knew it, she created an energy so sphere in her hand and threw it to his back. He falls forward roughly and a groan escaped his lips, she swallowed again then slowly walked towards him with her eyes glowing red in power.
"You don't ever, yell at me like that again." She ordered and he picked up his head looking up at her as the main source of light came from her eyes. "This isn't you Ella." He said sitting up and moving back against the wall. "That's where you're wrong...This is who I am and who I will always be." She said in such menacing tone and her hands powered up.
"I hate you. You're a monster who deserves to die." He said holding his hip since he did fall on top of it.
Ella's heart stopped for a moment and she knew in that moment her heart had died.
She points her palm towards his face and he looked into her eyes, his eyes showing no regret in his words.
"We all deserve to die."
Her powers surge out of her palm and towards Eric which made him scream in pain. Not once did she blink as her powers were ripping each and every cell in his body, she wanted him dead.
"NO!" Ella screamed sitting up from her bed holding the sides of her head as her eyes glowed red. "Ella?" Eric called waking up from next to her and he sat up quickly holding her. "MAKE HER STOP!" Ella screamed at the top of her lungs and tears welled up in her eyes as their bed began to shake from her power.
"Ella! It was a nightmare! Ella, look at me!" He called again trying to bring her back into reality. "I'M SORRY! I'M SORRY!" She screamed and sobs escaped her lips as well, he pulled her closer to him and just held her. He didn't know what else to do.
"You're right. You're right...I am...I am a monster." She cried and hiccuped as she slowly began to calm herself, his brows furrowed in confusion as he rubbed her back in comfort and he realized just how much trauma she was holding. "You're not a monster, Ella. Don't you ever call yourself that." He reassured her and she sniffles then gripped his shirt tightly.
"Don't let me lose control, Eric. You will stop me if I go too far, right?" She questioned and he nodded. "Of course, but you won't need me to. You are so strong and capable, I believe in you." He answered which made her heart flutter. "You know, we'll finally fulfill our dream of going over the wall." He pointed out trying to distract her from the nightmare. She nodded lifted her head up to look at him and he cupped her face.
"The wall..." She trailed off remembering what Steve had told her before.
Eric looked at her confused as her eyes glazed over, but she blinked making it go away and looked back at him with bloodshot eyes from the crying.
"You know, sometimes when I go climbing with Four, I can hear voices from outside the wall." She pointed out and he looked at her confused. "Voices?" He questioned and she nodded. "Like sirens, they're very faint and far, but I can hear them calling." She answered holding his hands pulling them away from her face and laid down on his chest. He leaned back brushing through her hair and she took in a calming breath, but slightly shaky from the nightmare.
"Voices are calling you from the outside." He noted, she closed her eyes and licked her lips. "It's like they need me out there, to help them." She added which made him a bit worried.
Ella felt comforted by Eric which led her to fall back asleep, but Eric couldn't help to wonder about her nightmare. He had never seen her so petrified and pale. He had to tell Four about it, it might be nothing, but in telling Four he might know more in what's happening to Ella.
