~Present Time~

1st POV~

Finally, it's summertime! I was glad my final year of high school is over, and I get to see kuroo once again. I grabbed my purse, phone; and wallet as I walked out to the car.
"Bye, mom!"

I drove to kenma house picking him up, you see were all leaving for the same college. I put the address in as I started driving to kuroo apartment. He had given me it when he moved in, in case I ever needed anything. I parked in the front as we got out.
"It's apartment 324 right?"
I looked at kenma, but all he gave me was a shrug. I pinched his arm as we walked.
"Ow, what the fuck!"
I smiled at him walking up the stairs, he was on the top floor.

I stopped as I tried catching my breath there were so many floors. But we finally got to the door, I fixed up my hair as my heart was racing. But when a woman answered I was shocked, I looked back down at my phone I was confused.
" Oh shit, I'm sorry we must have the wrong door number. Told you this isn't kuroo apartment number"
We started walking back down.
"Wait kuroo, Like kuroo Tetsurou? Are y'all his friends or something?"

We nodded as we looked at her,
"Sorry come in then, he lives here don't worry. Sorry for the messy the boys haven't cleaned in a while."
We smiled as we sat down on the couch, I laughed as she started picking up trash.
"It's fine ha, but I'm sorry who are you ?" I asked her politely.
"Oh right, I'm Emma kuroo's girlfriend."

She held out her hand smiling , I hesitated at first I was confused. My head was trying to wrap around what she just said. Girlfriend?.

3rd POV~

"Hey, baby have you seen my-" kuroo looked back and forth fast as he was shocked to see y/n and his girlfriend talking as they sat on the couch with kenma
"Fuck"
He whispered to himself, he soon remembered that they were coming today. He held his towel up.
" y/n please before you do anything remember we aren't together"
He held his breath, he was stuck between two problems and didn't know what to do.

y/n sat there as she was feeling so many emotions, she didn't know what to do. Yell, cry, or just full-on running out.
"You promised me you'd wait, but I see you found someone else"
She stood up as her heart was broken.
"But will see you around"
She wiped the tears that fell as they started stepping towards the door, but they were quickly stopped by someone?

"Hey hey who's this cutie in our apartment?" he said looking down,he had the coolest hair she had ever seen. He had the biggest smile on his face like he had just saw an angle.
"You idiot I'm sorry for him, but I'm Keiji and this dummy Koutarou. But you can call me akaashi." He shook her hand smiling as he has walked in behind Koutarou.

She smiled as she let them through.
"Hey, why are you so upset? And you can just call me bokuto"he said holding out his hand.
"Shut it bokuto" kuroo scoffed.
Bokuto rolled his eyes waking to the kitchen as he grabbed an apple.
"Fine you don't have to answer that but are you new here I've never seen you before?"  bokuto asked.

"Yea I am but y'all seem nice but I have to go"
She grabbed Kenma's hand. Boukto ran over stopping her once more.
"Wait hold up, we're looking for new roommates! And if you don't have a place to live you can stay here and your friend!"
She looked at him confused.
"Look it will be cheaper and we have everything you could need. Food, water, electricity and all you have to do is pay rent"

He bit his bottom lip, the truth was he was short on money. And they already had some spare rooms
"Let me think about it okay?"
He smiled "great! Will see you soon y/n"
He handed her his number. She smiled, they walked out the door. He closed it smiling but as he turned around everyone's eyes were on him.
"What?" he asked confused. They all just shook their heads.

Ist POV~ (kuroo)

"Kuroo what was she talking about?"
Emma looked at me, I sat down running my hands through my hair.
"She's my ex's, look let's talk about this later. i don't feel like doing this right now."
I walked to my room slamming the door, all I can think about right now is her face. Her eyes were full of tears I felt horrible and now she might move in.
"Fuck!"

3rd POV~

Y/n got into her car, her chest felt heavy.
"Just let it out"
Kenma said rubbing her back, she held the wheel as she broke down.
"Why me. He promised me!? he's never broken a promise."
She looked at kenma, her face was covered in tears.
"You did nothing wrong."
He held her hand's.
"We texted almost every day. We face-timed so why, why is he with her!"
Her voice cracked as she held kenma hands, he looked down.

" just rest for now,i'll  drive you home"
She couldn't drive in this state, they switched seats. He started the car driving her home. As he pulled he looked at her; her eyes were red and puffy.
"I'm here for you, I always will be."
She looked at him,
"Thank you, I'll be fine. But um ill ask my mom to take you home."
She got out walking in.

"Hey, love? What happened to you?"
Her mom asked cupping her face, she pulled her close hugging her tight.
"H-he has a girlfriend mom. He said he would wait. Was I not enough for him anymore?"
Her mom's expression softened.
"Oh my, baby you are good enough. He just an idiot, some promise can break. But I'm here for you and so is kenma, do you wanna take a year off?"

She shook her head no.
"I'm not gonna let him hold me back. I think I just need some time to myself right now"
Her mom let go kissing her forehead. She smiled as she walked upstairs laying on her bed.
When she heard her mom and kenma leave she broke down crying out loud.

She didn't know what to do, she had a plan. But now it was a lost cause. She held the paper bokuto had given her, she was stuck. On one hand, this would be great not to have to look for places all summer. But on the other hand, she would be living with him.

She let it go as she fell asleep, her face was hot and she was tired from all the crying. She held the sentence her mom always told her in her head when there was a problem.
"Things always happen for a reason, follow what you think is right" those words never left her mind that night.
