Hannah was sprawled across Matt's lap and they were wildly making out. Reece and I sat down on the top step. I assessed his expression to gauge how he was feeling.

"I guess that's what we get ay?" He shrugged. He wasn't fazed. I was surprised that I wasn't upset either. We started giggling.

"I actually think they are a better match than us anyway. I don't think Hannah liked how I yelled through the movie."

"And Matt obviously is not fussed who he makes out with. He was boring anyway." I said with a shrug. I was a little hurt with the reality that Matt really didn't give a crap about me. But better I found out sooner than later.

We knocked on the wall, to give them warning, and cleared our throats as we made our way back down to the TV room. They jumped apart guiltily.

"It's ok, we saw you guys making out. Maybe it's time to call it a night," Reece said.

Hannah wiped at her red-rashed cheeks.

"Jackie!" she grabbed my arm and pulled me into the other room. "I'm so sorry. Seriously I did not mean to. We were just sitting there watching the credits and you guys disappeared. I honestly thought Reece wasn't that interested in me. He didn't make a move through the whole movie and he was grabbing onto you the whole time. Matt said he gave up on you too. And we were just sitting there and the credits finished and it all went dark. There was an awkward silence and then it just happened. Please don't hate me."

"I don't hate you. You're right. Reece and I totally stuffed up. It's fine, really"

"I should probably call my mum to come pick me up. I really am sorry."

When they were gone, Reece and I sat on the couch together, reflecting on how we totally messed up our first chance at love. But in the end it was worth it, because we had the perfect ending for The Uprising and we were finally going to be able to finish it.

We went back upstairs to my room and continued working on the script late into the night. We sat on my bed taking turns on the laptop. By 1am, we were both red-eyed and tired from looking at the screen. We turned it off and I let out a big yawn and lay down in my bed. We knew Reece was meant to go home, but too tired to care, Reece lay down next to me. I turned over and snuggled into Reece's armpit. Reece curled into me naturally and we both fell asleep, completely fulfilled, content and happy.

It had been 6 months since we shot our previous scene. Tammie's hair was now purple and she refused to die it back to red for the shoot, so we had to work it into the plot somehow. My hair had also grown longer and I had noticeably developed a bit since the last scene we shot. We decided that Melody was going to under-go a transformation at the end to reveal her true evil self. Tammie curled and styled my hair and applied dramatic makeup to my usually plain face. I also wore my padded T-shirt bra under my body-hugging sundress to finish the look.

Reece had been shooting the final scene. Zac was lying 'half-dead' on the ground when I made my grand entrance onto the set (my garage). I was wearing heels, so it was more like a slow, cautious, hobbling entrance, but I tried my best to look the part. Zac bolted upright into sitting position and Reece's jaw noticeably dropped. I suddenly felt really self-conscious but pleased I had some affect on the boys.

"Awwwesome. That's so perfect!" Reece said with a huge smile.

"Wow, that's different," is all Zac managed.

Zac looked dumbfounded and so cute.

If only I got my way, I would be kissing him right now instead of killing him.
