Chapter 4-both Povs

I am not prepared for that. He sits with his friends. Although Leah did say they could come too, but still. I wouldn't want him to leave his table for us. He agreed anyway and said him, his friend James, and his friend Kai would come sit.

Leah agreed and here we are, waiting for them to come in here and sit down. I'm gonna kill Leah later. "Bitch I can't believe you did this." 

"What, you're friends now?"

"Yes but look at how many girls normally sit with him. I'll never be left alone again."  

Leah just shrugs and eats her food when they walk in. James nudges Everette, pointing towards the table and Everette nudges him back, obviously wanting him to stop.

They make their way over to the table and James sits down first. He introduces himself to me and Leah and I see Leah swoon over him. Evette sits next to me and I smile lightly before another guy walks to the table and sits down as well.

"Hi I'm Kai."

He says to me and Leah. Leah is too engrossed in her conversation with James to notice him but I nod lightly and respond. "Atlas, and That's Leah."

"Damn Sinclaire you were right, she is pretty." Kai says to Everette and my cheeks go bright red.

I look up and see Everette's have to.

Kai starts laughing uncontrollably causing the rest of the table to look up at mine and Everettes embarrassed expression.

Leah shoves me playfully and James laughs along with Kai.

This can't be happening right now.

Eventually the conversation fades back to normal.
Kai is actually really cool and we're friends now, I guess.

All the events and lunch almost made me forget I invited Everette over after school today.

I walk inside my house and say hello to my parents, and then I go up to Paige's room and sit with her.

Me and Paige have always been super close, her being my only sister, and ever since we moved it feels like we haven't talked very much.

"Hey Paige" I say sitting on her bed.

"What do you want Atlas" she responds, looking down at her phone.

"Damn calm down, what's wrong with you?" I ask her. She looks up, her eyes regretful.

"I'm sorry. schools just been  stressful and I'm not really in the mood to talk to anybody right now."
I smile at her.

"It's okay, I get it." I begin to stand up off her bed and walk out but she grabs my hand.

"Atlas wait. I want to hangout with you. I'm sorry."  
"It's okay Paige. Everettes coming over today, but you can join if you want. He's bringing his little sister."    

"Okay." She says.

"Do you like him?" She asks me.

"No, I don't. He's pretty, sure, but I barely know him."  

"You're in denial."

"I'm not."  

"I ship it" Paige says.

"What about you?" I ask changing the subject.

"Any girls caught your eye?" She looks away from me shyly.

"OH MY GOD, there is!" I yell excitedly

"Yeah, there is." She responds. 

"My baby's all grown up" I say sarcastically.
She rolls her eyes.
