Gally's Pov

The next day, Minho, Newt, Alby, Frypan, Clint, Jeff and I are supposed to meet to discuss about anything we may have found out about Zart and Sean. Much to my frustration, I knew nothing. I wanted so desperately to help Liv, yet I couldn't find out anything useful.

When I arrive, the others are already talking.

"Started without me?" I say sternly.

"What? No! Of course not!" Frypan says, obviously lying.

"Has anyone found out anything?" Alby enquires before I can ask any more follow up questions.

Everyone shakes their head in turn. I let out a frustrated groan and storm out of the building.

"Gally-"

"Forget it" I say, cutting off Minho.

I start my job, ignoring the other Builders asking why I was late.

Today was particularly hot, so I took off my shirt. As soon as I did, I turn around and see Olivia.

"What are you doing here?" I ask her.

"I've got you and the other Builders some water. It's really hot, and I don't want you getting sunstroke. Here" She hands me the water and I smile gratefully at her, gulping half of it down. It's freezing cold, and I've never been more grateful for it to be. She hands the Builders water too, then goes round the rest of the Glade offering drinks.

"Gally! Focus!" Alec tells me. I was thinking about Olivia again.

"Don't tell me what to do" I grumble, then get back to work.

Newt's Pov

I knock on Alby's door.

"Come in" he says.

I cautiously open the door, knowing how livid Alby is.

"How you doin'?" I ask.

"How do you think?" he snaps back.

"Are you sure it's the right call to keep what Minho told us from Gally?"

"Can you stop shucking questioning everything I do? I'm the Leader here, and I say it's the right decision. Now shuck off. Don't you have someone else to bother?"

"This whole thing is really getting to you, huh?" I pull up a chair, ignoring Alby's command.

"Yes of course it is! Trust is an important thing here, and what those boys are planning... It goes against everything we believe in here. I feel like I've failed as a Leader to protect everyone. Poor Olivia..."

"Alby" I say firmly. "You haven't failed as Leader. The problem is, you can't protect anyone, no matter how much you want to. I'm sure everything will be fine" I rest a reassuring hand on his shoulder.

"Then why does no one seem to listen to me?"

"Is this about the Gally and Olivia situation again? You can't stop them from dating, y'know. Just leave them be. As long as they do their jobs, they're not hurting anyone. And even if you do ban them from being together, they won't listen, and you know that, Alby. So just let them be together. Ok?" I sit nervously, awaiting his response.

"Fine" Alby said. "But for the record, I don't think it's the right decision"

"Oh well, you've agreed to it now! No take-backsies!" I run out of his hut and find Gally and Olivia then lead them somewhere private.

Olivia's Pov

"What's this about? I need to work" Gally huffs impatiently.

"So I talked to Alby-" Newt starts.

"Congratulations. You had a conversation with someone. You want a medal or something?" I laugh at Gally's comment.

"It's about the no dating rule. I managed to get Alby to agree to let you date"

"WHAT?! REALLY?!" I exclaim.

"Yup. You're welcome" Newt smiles.

"THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!" I hug Newt tightly, then hug Gally.

"I'll leave you to it" Newt leaves.

"So-" Before I can continue, Gally leaves as well. I try to catch up with him, and when I do, I grab onto his wrist to slow him down.

"Where you off to in such a hurry?" I laugh.

"Back to work" He shakes me off of him then storms off. He's mad about something. But what? Is it me?

"Gally!" I catch up with him again and get hold of his arm, holding tighter than last time. "What's wrong?" I ask, placing a hand on his cheek.

"Nothing" he says, pulling away from my embrace.

"Why won't you talk to me? Something is clearly wrong with you, and I want to help with whatever it is" I say firmly.

"Nothing is wrong"

"Gally. I know you. There's something really bothering you. Is- is it me?" When I say that, his face softens.

"No! No, of course not!" He hugs me, and rests his chin on top of my head.

"Then what is it?"

"I know what Zart and Sean are planning. Alby and the others tried to hide it from me, but I know"

"What are they gonna do?"

"I'm not telling you. But, I'm gonna shucking kill them before they have the chance"

"If it's about me, I deserve to know"

"There's no need in worrying you, because I'm not going to let it happen"

"Gally" I say warningly, pulling away from his embrace.

"Trust me. It's ok. You don't need to know"

"Fine" I roll my eyes and walk off towards the gardens to find Newt. When I go there, he isn't in sight. Before I can leave, Zart walks up to me. I try and compose myself and act as if he wasn't plotting against me.

"How come you're still here, eh?" he asks.

"What do you mean?"

"You should have been Banished. How come that hasn't happened yet?"

"I- I don't know" I stammer, petrified of what Zart could do. "You should ask Alby" I say and then walk away.

Zart's Pov

I'm not letting Olivia stay here, even if it's the last thing I do. I'm getting her Banished. I storm over to Alby, ready to give him a piece of my mind.

"Alby-" I start.

"Zart, I know why you're here. It's about Olivia. But I'm afraid we don't have any actual evidence to say she tried to kill Sean. She stays. So shuck off and do your job before you make a scene" he tells me.

"WHAT?!" I exclaim.

"Zart. Go" Alby commands. I can't do anything but listen to him. On the way, I tell Olivia the unfortunate news, making sure to display my disgust.

Olivia's Pov

I was so happy when I found out I wouldn't be Banished, and so was Gally. He hugged me tightly and kissed the top of my head, promising me nothing like this would ever happened again. He told me to stay away from Zart and Sean; an order to which I happily complied.

A/n: Ok I know my chapters are getting really short and I keep saying I'll make them longer but next chapter I actually do mean that! I'm looking forward to the next chapter because of what it is going to be about! :)
