"No, she's. . ." Midoriya felt like he couldn't blink as he stared down at you, completely still in Todoroki's arms. "She's not dead."

"She's dead," Kaminari's voice came out small and strained as he stared at you in utter disbelief.

"No, she's not!"

"Midoriya. I'm not playing that game right now. She's dead."

Unlike Midoriya, Aizawa tried to blink. He blinked over and over again. For some reason, he was still stuck in the same place as before. Still caught in the same loop. Students panicking. People stepping back in shock. Todoroki hunched over your body.

He felt sick. Aizawa felt sick.

Not only was his soulmate gone, but so was his soulmate's niece.

His niece.

Aizawa watched as Todoroki shakily placed his hand on your forehead, gently caressing his thumb across your skin. Aizawa didn't just feel like he failed his soulmate, or you. He felt like he failed Todoroki. The kid just had his soulmate ripped away from him as soon as he finally had her in his grasp.

"Hey," came a voice from behind Aizawa, and some turned to look. There stood Bakugou, staring through the crowd and looking at you in Todoroki's lap. He stumbled over, his pupils constricted as he tripped over his own feet getting to you. "Hey!"

A few flinched at his shout, watching as he fell in front of you and Todoroki. Bakugou thought this was a pretty fucked up joke. He knew you both liked to fuck with each other, but this was messed up. Shoving your shoulder in an attempt to get you up, he shouted again, "Hey! Get up! You're being an idiot!"

It was when you didn't respond that caused him to get a little more annoyed as he aggressively shook your shoulders. "Get up, asshole! You're freaking everyone out!"

Still nothing. You were really committing to the bit. This time Bakugou felt his heart quicken a pace. Now he was really beginning to freak out. Usually when you used to play this kind of joke on him and Midoriya as kids, you knew when to stop because you didn't want to scare them too much. Why weren't you getting up?

"(Y/N), you're scaring me!" Bakugou shook you again, his eyes wide and panicked. Todoroki's grip loosened on you as he continued to stare, not wanting to comprehend what was in front of him. You slid off his lap slowly and onto the ground, which was beginning to shake from the amount of things still crashing on the surface above. The effects of your quirk hadn't stopped. The only way it could be stopped was with you. But you were—

"Hey!" Bakugou's voice cracked, and he felt the sting of tears in his eyes. "I said you're scaring me!"

Uraraka covered her mouth while she tried to contain the noise of her sobs as she and the others looked at the scene.
